Wish critical rate would work fine, 462 rate with sword and shield, 1 out of 14 attacks is a critical -_-

templars dont really rely on crits but ofc its better with them but they rely on... when to use skills and stuns

Swapped out my +10 taha sword, with a +10 taha mace with +25 mboost stones yesterday.

Bumped up magic smash from 1200 to 2600
Dumped up Divine justice from 800 to 1800

Extremly useful. I used to run strictly Greatsword, because sword was too weak, but now I find myself quick switching to mace for my magic combos(and shield bash of course)

I'd suggest a mace for a 1h to any templar.

    EDIT:
I have to hugely disagree with this part of the guide.

Without using any stones, with food and scrolls you can reach crit soft-cap. The extra hp, helps out buffs too, combine that with templar heal skills and that hp actually makes it EASIER to kill people 1v1, then struggling to attack as fast and strong as your opponent.

    Anuhart templar plate armor

How come the Anuhart templar plate set of other people come in different appearance?

It looks different because they remodeled their sets.

I have 1 question... What about Steel Wall Defense? 1k block, 15% defense, 1k resist to stuns etc.?

With this server you're able to keep this on at all times on top of "Shield Defense" giving me personally 3.6k Block. These skills do not stop working after engaging in combat. So you dont really have to worry about ever stacking block here.

Templar is really a "monster" in PvP (with high gear).

templars are good but if you want to do damage go gladiator i tried to experiment with both but i still find glad a better damage dealer than templar or maybe i just dont know how to use a templar

Thanks you, sherlock, for stating the obvious.

A templar's job is to survive huge amounts of damage, not to deal damage.

Gladiators are a balanced mix. Of course they deal more damage than templars...

On topic, I'd recommend an extendable GS like Lannok's instead of Tahabata's GS.

Also you'd want to socket crit to 540 before you thing about socketing attack.

I find myself winning almost every equal battle (People without AGB set) with full magic boost on everything but GS. I use the Tahabata Mace and shield and add a good a mount of dama:lol:ge with Magic smash and Divine judgement. Doing 2k with Divine and 3.3 k with Smash. Only time I lose is when someone uses silence or stuns me every 2 secs.

This is for duels than raids.

Very nice guides , and some interesting comments too.
I dont play aion alot (maybe 1 month) , i was used to gladiator , but i kinda saw how templar looks in action and i wanna play it.
on lineage2 , i always play with paladin (tank , templar you get the idea.) , they are actually 100% like templars in aion , low dmg , surviving a lot , stuns and etc.
I want to ask you guys , are templars good in only helping your team survive? or they can be good dmg dealers in groups and solo?
    thank you
