question about changing ovr file...

helllo, i recently started playing here out of boredom, and in order to run dp like everyone else i had to change my ovr file to allow free flight.....my question.....what does editing this file do? i still play on the official server and i don't wanna edit any files that will either cause that server not to work, or get me into trouble.......any answers appreciated

 

You must first exit your aion client before doing this.

Go to your aion folder, and search for a file named "system.ovr" and open it with a notepad and edit it, must be like this:

-- [System-Configuration]
-- add your settings to this file, not system.cfg

g_chatlog = "1"
log_IncludeTime = "1"
log_Verbosity = "1"
log_FileVerbosity = "1"
g_open_aion_web = "0"
g_save_preset = "1"
g_auto_disconnect = "0"
g_freefly = "1"

I think he meant if editing the file will bring any effects to him in retail,or will it be counted as illegal and resulting him getting banned in retail

 

yes, and also can anyone tell me what i need to copy/paste back into the ovr to switch the client back over to retail version? i play both but i forgot what the old ovr file said x.x
