    Their is no official release date on this because as it states it is just a "Vision".

    It was what NCSoft wanted Aion to be, but in the end they weren't able to reach it. Fact is that people believe that it is coming out soon, but I doubt we will ever see that stuff.

    WELCOME TO LAST YEAR....

    Anyone that played retail (myself included) basically caught on quickly that... that was all a money grab and sales pitch with a few sparkling lights.


    This is likely to never come out, especilaly with LITTERALLY groundbreaking mmo's coming out. FFXIV was an absolute fail though, so I am going to bite my tongue on this one.

    We'll have to see if TERA eats the shitter too, it may be way too different of PvP for people to adapt towards (and I speak as a GM of the testing of it)... so like anything risky... it can either be phenomenal and beloved... or disliked and hated.

    Personally I think its amazing, but classical mmo'ers may get frustrated at first.

    Then we have C9 and a bunch of other interesting things coming out later... I'll have to say that if Aion doesn't boil this one out of their ass within the next 4-5 months then Aion is history... at least in the West. (In Korea it is still booming).

    Actually im wrong, graphics like that is already in Age of Conan, best looking MMO imo but game play sucks balls.

    DX10 makes that game so amazing looking, its worth 50 bucks just for the scenery :).

    Yeah I played that also. I actually had fun with it but I was in a guild so that actually made it a lot more fun I guess. Definitely had amazing graphics.

    Truth be told though like Aegis stated, Aion West is dying. Their are still players, but they are nowhere near the number they were when the game first came out. I'm pumped for other MMO's though.

    Aion use DirectX 9.0c using the very first Cry Engine.

    this Aion vision looks like they just made some of the Engine works with DX10.1 not 11 since i don't see any tessellation in there. But you will notice a lot of Lighting improvements.

    Ya i played AoC for about 8 months, quit right before the first expac came out, sad all the end game content and pvp was all FUBAR, such a great looking game.

    I really want EQ3 to come out lol. I enjoyed EQ2 for 3 years, it had amazing graphics as well for its time ^^.

    Yeah I've played almost every MMO over the last decade or so for at least a little while starting with the original EQ.

    Also to stay on topic.

    I loved Aion's concept back before it came out. I mean everyone loved the thought of "PvP in a new dimension", but as you can see most people just QQ about it.

    Retail was definitely fun for a little while and I wish to see Aion flourish into what 3.0 is, but I do not see that happening.
