Either fix the ranks or remove the Transformations

Ok Either FIx the god damn Abyss ranks Or remove the transformations.

 

Whats wrong with the ranks, they're working like they are supposed too. Seems like you would rather have a broken ranking system than a working one.

 

No man i have 2mil Ap and im 5 star.

 

The ranking system works just as retail does, rankings scale to player AP.

There can only be one governor, three commanders, so on so forth.

The maximum occupants of each rank are shown in the abyss panel ingame, those AP figures next to them are just the initial figures required to rank. Once each rank is filled they scale upwards based on player AP.

The system is working as intended.

 

Well you're just going to have to grow some patience, this is how the rankings system works. It updates once a day at a specific time, or after a crash/reboot. That is the way the game was designed and thats the way it works here.

 

Lol, I am not sure if he is mad cuz ap so easily obtain that he cannot get this tranformation, since first governor first, or fact its not him who became governor first.

 

Or perhaps that over time rangers will dominate the top AP positions, making it extremely difficult to compete if you are any class but.

When that time arrives, and the top positions will consist of mostly rangers, what will the solution be then? Everyone roll rangers? AP wipe again, then everyone roll rangers? Do you want a server full of rangers?

This entire structure presents new conflicts soon to come. Your using a retail rank structure against a private server AP structure. The AP structure is variable, which can be bought for premium. That's a conflict in and of itself, especially dealing with a feature that is extremely powerful.

ok, so now i fully understand the ranking system.. so basically that means goodbye to my gladi even reaching 5-star..

time to switch to my ranger for pvp and leave the farming to my glad :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

In a nut shell, yes.

Not all jobs are created equal, especially in a private server. Some jobs will acquire AP faster than others, which is ranger. If you don't know why, you don't know the job well enough. I have a 55 ranger on retail, and here on the private server.

What you are competing for, is 144 slots to transform into a general deity. If you don't have the correct job, you are behind the eight ball. Anyone rolling ranger will have the advantage, so in the long run, what do you think others will eventually do?

The current stats show that ranger is the dominate class when it comes to AP gain. IF you want to be a deity, you will need to roll ranger JUST to keep up with the AP gain of others, otherwise, maybe your skill with your alternate class will keep up. In any event, you WILL be the minority, the exception.

I feel the deity feature is VERY cool, but very broken, and we'll cross them in the months ahead. I'm only calling them out here now. I have solutions, but I don't feel this is the time for them.

I enjoy my chanter class. I play it often even over my ranger. I am also very good at the class, and may reach deity. However, I'm not foolish enough to realize that month by month, rangers will eventually kick me out of my deity spot. Their AP gain is greater. You will find out, mark my words.
