People who are accusing everyone of idolizing Alente tend to forget that he was a hell of a lot better than nothing, which is what we're left with now. And really we lost him because of... no reason in particular.

I mean that's what it boils down to. We didn't lose him because of anything worthwhile. He was driven off for no goddamn reason at all.

But I guess that can be said for 60% of all ex-staff.

 

Woah, don't get me wrong here, I am not fan of alente, I think he made a lot of mistakes and he liked to screw with things he shouldn't, but i DO have to admit that he was like the only one doing something? Bad or good but you could at least see his actions 0.o So keep that in mind..

 

He did his job , but as soon as he resigned , the community started to overestimate his work & created myths about his legendary DEV achievements ~ I'm aware of the fact that the server wouldn't be half as complete w/o his contribution , but I guess it's still a tad bit too much to say that the server will be lost w/o him now ~

 

They say that because there is no one left .
Maybe the community wouldn't be so overreacting if there would be actually some Devs getting added .
And by Dev I don't mean that paculiar person called Matthew.

 

To be honest , I can't really place that Matthew guy in my head ... He's kind of confusing , not to mention his prefix in every posts "Hi =) How are you? =)"
Well someone called JasperBlack (if memory serves) offered his help as a DEV as well , hopefully things will work out somehow ~

Accounts like those 'Dev guys' will always pop up in order to give hopes to people but fortunately this community has learned the mistakes of Staff and remembers them all :sideways:

Try harder next time to convice us about the new Devs who are willing to help during the drama periods :sleeping:

 

Not to mention that he popped up right after Alente resigned .

One can hardly even consider Alente as a dev, he had access to a core and applied some simplistic fixes here and there on his own, probably did as much genuine work as any other dev we've ever had if not more, but don't go as far as considering him as a dev. He didn't do core modifications or anything, he simply did his best to keep the server as updated as possible.

As far as actual devs go, I wouldn't exactly get hopes up about any, if past incidents regarding devs is any indication, but who knows.

 

So, what is the real reason that the other Devs quitted?
Not the rumor I have heard but the real one.

theres no pay to much work and other than the dev title they got nothing no admin/gm powers ingame..
