I strongly believe that some rules should change or Mods should be more strict at making forum members to respect them and warn/ infract all those people who are violating the rules of Gamez without exceptions.

I have seen many violations of the rules. Mods of the forum just ignore them like nothing happened. If you do nothing to stop people from breaking the rules, then do not act like power whores who punish the chosen ones for not following only certain rules at time.


Example

Singatures: there are many who violate the rule of having only 500 x 200 size even if there are 2 or more pictures tigether, but Mods do nothing about it. They play Gods only when they feel being cocky.



If you want to be called a Mod and honor the title you've been given, then do your JOB. Your job is to make people to follow ALL rules that are written here: Gamez Rules,
not only some of them that you are aware of.

So, please DO take your time to read AND learn all the rules before you will open your mouth next time and talk about violations of rules!

If you want a community to respect you then you should know that the respect is earned by being fair and strict with everyone, no matter if it's your friend or not.

 

I agree. In which, I've tried that but then I get flamed and disrespected.

Well , to be serious now ... since Stacked "resigned" or whatsoever ... I rarely see any mods doing their job ... not even Beast ( who used to be pretty active ) and about Taruka ... would be pretty useless to bring his name up <_<;

Because you aren't a mod You focus more in game than on the forums. When I was a GM I was a GM AND a Mod.. That's why I did both.

 

Beast works a lot now. 12 hour shifts constantly. He's on when he can be. I do agree that we need more mods though.

 

You can stop using that excuse cause it's getting old. If beast isn't around to mod the forums then who is. The AMs, HGms and Admins. Pick a new excuse.

K, on topic I guess.. I do agree that moderators should enforce more of the rules than they do now, kind of like the whole rule in the trade sections where you can only bump once every 24 hours and people do way more. They need to take those rules seriously. Signature rules are enforced for the most part, but it is up to the Mod/GMs judgment whether it passes or fails, I don't think someone is going to get in trouble for a 501x201 sized signature. Also, they do indeed need to treat friends and foe as equals, not more bias against 1 person because they don't like them.

 

The point is that this community needs real Mods, not some posers to 'wear' the dark red name and od nothing.

There are so many messed up sections. People only spam, QQ about the in game issues/ bugs/ server or flame each other. The beauty of a community forum is lost in here...

You can see 50 threads / crashes being made in General Disc. section , sadly ...

Unfortunately ... handing out infractions wouldn't stop them ;o

Normally they would move the thread and verbally warn the OP, if they did it again, warn them with a warning.

I believe it's the way Mods treat community members. If you are neat then you cannot demand out of sudden from people to don't do this or that. It's just not happening if they are learned to do whatever they want here, since Staff isn't being strict with the rules violations.

Infractions won't solve much right now. You can easily make a new account in few minutes and keep trolling. The point is to start talking openly with people and explain them in a nice way.

Make clear rules about every single section and follow them as Staff member. I'm saying this because I have seen many Staff members to break the rules in the name of their power(!?).

Another thing is that there should be more attempts from the Staff side to make this forum more friendly to all, old and new members.

 

I understand what you're saying Fairy but unfortunately , those who are creating alts or new accounts after their previous one got banned , won't give a damn to any mods ; trying to make the rules clear for them ...

We are technically supposed to ban all alt accounts made if their original account is banned or they made to just simply be obnoxious and rude... (ie: all those -maker names that popped up). For some reason, we don't ban them cause they tend to be more relax on that alt account. But we need to be more strict and demand respect from community since we are staff and follow through with it.

 

People don't change, it's true but you can make them change their attitude in forum though

I barely see any clear rules for each section or any of them to be followed even by Staff members.

Mods have to pay more attention on this. If there are not any active then it has to change by hiring new ones or more people who can supervise forum even like a part-timers.

Forum is always the strong spot of every online game community
