Best Weapon for Gladiator

I began playing as a gladiator and I saw that the main 2 weapons that he uses are spears and greatswords and i wanted to know which one is the best.

 

it depends on your fighting style and tactics...

 

Im a begginer, i dont know a lot about the game, which one of both do u think its easiest for me to play with?

 

greatsword faster...spear stronger..

dual sword for duels...

 

for lvling it would be gs?

 

you can use spear for lvling..

 

actually spears depend on luck and crit hits(slow) but GS depend on sure attacks(not fast but faster than spear)

Spear - Unstable damage,crits harder,slower attack speed

Greatsword - Stable damage,lower crits and faster attack speed

Spear would be better IMO,for the burst damage when you crit

 

Spear for bigger critical chance and damage, dual sword for better critical chance and speed, GS for better speed and stable damage output. But damage range in Aion doesn't really matter. It just ranged about 300-400 damage i think. So if I were you, I'll go to spear or dual sword.
