Server is down correct?

    So I logged off for a bit and changed my configs in the folder while surfing through some guides.
    Then I ran Aion not realizing there was a supposed "Server Shutdown"
    When I put in my ID and Pass and pressed Enter. Everything froze.
    Not the game, but I couldn't click or press Enter or anything.
    All I could do was Alt + Tab then close it.

    Just curious, is THIS what happens during a server shut down or did I screw up my files somehow.
    Because I'm only a week into Aion, I just want to know whats happening.
    (Please Clarify so next time I know and don't panic and don't flame or troll please )

    Sometimes that happens to me, sometimes it'll just tell me i'm already logged in (If it crashed while I was playing)

    Hmm, well it doesn't actually say anything for me.
    It doesn't log in at all, the game just sits there as if I just typed in my ID and Pass and just left it there. :p
    I just want to know if this is what happens when server reboots x.x
