[APPROVED] [Suggestion] To Improve the forum

Well I though about this.

If the devs could make the forum like "facebook" and I mean the Chat Box is possible to talk online with ur friends | better then post 100 useless threads when sv's restarting or it's down :w00t:

And I think that would be awesome :love:

We'd have to add a plugin to do that... and with that plugin added, Im sure the forums would be laggy. But .... **waits for admin to respond**

 

Um. On F******k are like 100000x more online peoples and It's not laggy.

Interesting but.. even a normal chatbox has already been suggested 3 or 4 times and it has been rejected every time.

 

If you want to talk live with your friends just use MSN or Yahoo Messenger. Putting a facebook style chatbox thing would be a lot of work and would probably make the forums laggy. Unless you mean a chatango type set up.

 

Or that chatango type set up.

Something that you can talk on the forum, and not posting on the profile

 

As I said already, it's been suggested several times and it's been denied every time, we'll see what Darkmax thinks though, since we have a new forum version.

 

A shoutbox would avoid offtopic in thread =)

We have IRC. If you really want something such as a Chatbox, I'd suggest IRC, or that Chatango thing.

And forums couldn't get anymore hideous, this would actually balance out the ****ing rankness of them now.

 

Some people just dont feel good if they don't say anything bad about\to someone.

 

I like your idea, a chat-box would give life to this forum. It would be a bit laggy of course since we got so many members but it would be worth. There is always one but in all good things. So, my objection is what it will be used by random people to spam advertisings of other Pservers, flame each other etc.

Things should be considered seriously to find a middle solution.

It really is unnecessary. And I doubt that Darkmax will accept it. Apart from the fact that we have 2 existing chat mediums (Chatango and Gamez IRC). I don't even think that vBulletin offers a universal chatbox like facebook does. They do offer a top universal chatbox with is viewable by all, and appears on the front page above most popular threads, but it doesn't allow for user to user communication, and thus, would just be a spambox for threads.
