Is this rule still in effect?

Unless an admin has said otherwise then they are still in effect.

 

Yes... Try and follow them the max limit mostly.

 

It's a loose rule. As long as you don't go 800, by 700 you should be fine, really. I see a lot of people get away with a sig, and whole lot of text above, and below it.

 

Cause i see alot of big sig out there im jealous xD but since it is still in effect ill go by the rules like most of us here

Just make sure your sigs is still rational. If you were going to put a 800x600 or 1024x768 then it's not allowed.

even if some yellowed name people don't follow it even.. just report any post of a user you see with a sig that's to big.

 

oh yeah? seen people with 2 pics in a sig, both of which break the rule + more text under it. if they want this to work they would have to physically apply a restriction (means the sig would have to be hosted on these forums, that way u could prevent upload). ud have to disable the img tags for website pics

btw yesterday some1 used a 900x600 sig lol, thats like a desktop background

 

there r few things that make it worse on these forums

1. posts dont get combined anymore, takes up more space and people keep getting infractions for "double posting" (which is kinda ridiculous, people with huge sigs take as much space with every post and get away with it)
2. a sig doesnt start directly below ur message but where the left panel ends ("thanked xxx times in xxx posts")

so yeah lots of wasted space here
