    So I've been playing at this internet cafe where there's a lot of SF(Special Force, the one that's like an online Counter-Strike) players. And they put their sf screenies as a desktop background, which is lame coz everytime I need to play I gotta change it back to my awesome aion BG. Is there like a software or way to stop them from changing it??

    First set the wallpaper exactly how you want it.

    Start > Run > Type "regedit" > Run.

    Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ ActiveDesktop.

    Right-click in right pane and select New DWORD Value.

    Name this new DWORD NoChangingWallpaper and set the value to be 1.

    Reboot your computer. The wallpaper option should be disabled. To re-enable it, set the DWORD value to be 0 or delete the DWORD altogether (don't forget to reboot).

    Wait...Do you own this computer? Installing something or changing registry values on a system you don't own to make it where others cant change it could lead you into some serious heat. If the owners see it and want it off or changed and they cant, and they have to format or hire someone to do it for them, I doubt they would want you back in their store.

    lieessssss xD i use it more than school books :p

    btw i think it still doesnt stop them from right clicking an image and setting as desktop, even if they dont have access to the actual menu xD (havent tried, could be wrong)

    btw idk bout a "deepfreezed desktop background" but i do know that my last laptop ended up "deep fried" when my graphics card burned out :p

    There's a solution for that..and I am only suggesting it because I've done it with my entertainment center PC.

    Take a fish tank....add all the unique things you would add to a fish tank like pebbles and a skull etc.....fill it with mineral oil....throw your PC in it.

    It works great, and you dont have to worry about frying anything :)

    And his nephew happens to be a friend and he likes what I did, now those silly gamers won't be able to change the bg.

    It happens when you lock your desktop I believe..
    "* Right click on desktop and select Properties
    * Select the Desktop tab
    * Click on Customize Desktop...
    * Select the Web tab
    * If the Lock desktop items check box is checked, uncheck it.
    * Click OK
    * Click OK"
