From what I understand of MR, it's like this:

Their Magic Accuracy vs your Magic Resist (flip this for them resisting your spells)

If your Magic Resist is higher, for every 10 points = 1 percent resist chance

So if a sorc has 1,500 MA, and casts a spell on someone with 1,800 MR, the person with 1,800 MR has a 30 percent chance to resist that spell.

If the sorc has 1,900 MA and the target has 1,899 MR, there is a 0 percent chance of resisting.

Same thing goes for non-magic classes, a ranger to land their sleep or silence shot needs to have more MA simply, so if the sorc opponent has 1,800 MR, you need 1,801 for them to have 0 percent chance to resist.

Currently I've got a character with 1,756 MR, she resists quite a bit, but a decent geared sm who uses a tome can still rip her apart, if they're not ready for it, then she can resist fears and lots of damage.

Someone who has 2k magic resist, if I have 1100 m.acc with my ranger, has 100% chance to resist.

    1000 : 10 = 100 x 1% = 100 %.

Then lower the magic resist base.
