Another New aion player~

Hiis i'm new here, Well actually totally new to Aion and this server but i have played mmorpgs before so i get the basic fundamentals. Anyway i'll be quick since i got quite a few questions to ask. Its kinda long winded too so bear with me! :sick:

1. Stigma
I understand theres a "Stigma system" here, but it seems this pserver lets you "auto-learn" your skills. So is there still a need to buy/hunt and equip those Stigma stones? I don quite understand how it works too since im still new...i only read it on the wikis and played around with it ytd on the server.

2. Remodeling of armor
i have installed the items pak 2.1 thing but somehow i still don know how i can remodel my armor since i don have the Model that i want..much less even know how it looks like. Do i have to go through the trouble of hunting that very items or buying it just so i can remodel my armor/weapon? Plus the item disappears right after you remodel the item that you want?

3. Donation :3
I'm planning on donating but looking at the equips and weaps there, there aren't really much varieties..cause i believe theres many more lv50 and 55 sets/weaps out there than the ones in the item shop. Is this some kind of an encouragement for us to actually hunt the dream set that we want ourselves or is there another reason for this?

4. Campaign quest, normal Quest, Instances.
I have done quite a few C.quest now, but some seems to be bugged out like the Flying recon and Source of Contamination quest. I don't know about official but is there a need to complete everything here or at least all the campaign quest? Would be nice if you people could tell me the more important quest that is needed.

Also are instances here working? Which are the working ones :andy:.

5. Classes
I'm currently doing my own research but still kinda clueless at what kind of Armorset or weapons i will need for my Glad and what kind of upgrades does a glad need to excel in pve/pvp. So can someone point me in the right direction where i can find a good guide for this class? ty~

1. Stigmas are autolearn, just gotta use //givemissingskills as you level..

2. You have to hunt/buy the skins you want, yea.. I believe it's ctrl+click on an armor piece to preview its skin..

http://aion.mmosite.com/guide/suit.shtml has a bunch of sets for preview already tho.

They disappear after you remodel.

3. Most people just want the ABG stuff from the 2.0 content for it's pvpness, though a lot of people like masta+vielle stuff.. You can acquire other stuff in game but a lot of things from 2.0 are unobtainable as I'm aware.

4. You don't need to quest for anything other than learning the story for yourself, but people like to do them anyways just to feel accomplished. Yeah, some quests are bugged but the server has devs working, so maybe they'll be fixed sometime s:

Most instances work, as well. There are a couple that don't, tho I don't remember the names.

5. I don't know much about glads, but I know polearm and attack+crit stones are the way to go

I dual wield on my glad, but I also have a greatsword that I swap over to if I'm fighting my counter classes. I run full attack +5 with one piece of armor with crit+17 stones.

But I'm running ABG accesories and ABG plate armor. So I'm sure it will differ on the armor you have. If you're anuhart you're going to want more pieces with crit stones, and probably run with a polearm.

anyway, Got a few more questions to ask so i hope you can answer them too ...or actually anyone whos experienced.

1. Legions
Is there any other benefits in joining one either than the usual socializing and group parties for pvp/instances.

2. Wings
Theres very few varieties of wings on the donation shop too, Are those the best? or are there still better ones in the game? How are wings obtainable in the first place? NPC shop? Hunt? <---location would be nice.

3. Enchanting, Manastone socketing and Godstones o.o?
I already understand the fundamentals behind this but where can i obtain this items especially the high level ones? Are there any npcs that sell this things or do i have to hunt for them or trade from players?

4. Armfusion...wut? o.o
:3 i have no idea what this does but i heard it combine items. How does this work really? Do the stats always comes out positive? and if it fails will the item break or anything?

Whats the diff between a polearm and GS? I know GS is faster but does a lesser range of damage while polearm is slower but does a wider range of damage. I know theres bound to be debates about which is better but whats your opinion on this? :3

 

1. That's pretty much it, sometimes if the enemy faction sees what legion you're in they might charge at you first out of spite or something lol.

2. The wings in the shop are the best, yeah. In game theres an npc that sells basic wings ranging from 1m-80m, but they aren't like those wings in the donation shop, skin wise and stat wise.

3. Your best option for getting lots of enchant stones is to goto core in the abyss (big red sun in the middle) and kill mobs around the outside of the fortress for elder gear. Then goto the general merchant npc when your full and buy enough extraction tools to break them all down into stones. The highest level stones you can obtain this way are level 70s. Godstones, and enchantment stones are best gotten through the donation shop though.. since you can't obtain 10(percent)blind or silence in game. You can still get the 5(percent) ones in game though.

4. Armsfusion can't fail and the stats will come out better. Heres an official NCSoft guide you can use for that.. http://powerwiki.na.aiononline.com/aion/Armsfusion

Remember to screenshot your items before attempting armsfusion, and even after.. just incase the server hiccups and you lose you it or something.

and speaking of Abyss, uhm is that a pvp zone..the place you mention the BIG red sun thing? Is there a high chance i would get killed while hunting for the items?

 

Theres a high chance, yeah. The only PvE places in the game are the starter islands.. brusthonin+theobomos.. and Altgard+Verteron. Everywhere else theres a chance to run into the enemy faction. ^^

I heard we can hunt for the Anuhart set in a place call dark poeta? Any idea how to get there o.o and whats the max amount of kinah we can hold here? Both in player inventory and warehouse~

=.= oh and DP! totally forgot about this, every time i log out it seems to go back to 0? Is there a way to actually hit max bar without actually losing it...

 

You can hold as much kinah as you want and you can get to DP from either heiron/belusan or go to the core in the abyss. Just get in a party and follow the leader.

And earlier you asked about glad. You want either GS or Polearm(I use polearm myself) and you want to crit up to about 500 or so and use food and scrolls to raise your crit higher when you go out and pvp, and then stack everything else with attack. And you want to get plate armor. The only exception is if you get ABG chain armor and stack Mres to help you fight the magic based classes.

To get to dark poeta, just hit level 50, then press M and depending on your race check either Heiron or Beluslan for a little cave like looking thing on your map. Each of those are instance entries, just look for the one called Dark Poeta. Make sure to go there with a party

There is no kinah cap, some players have over 1t stored e.e

DP goes up more retail like now (max being 4k) you can get it by killing mobs around your level, or using an item like Perer Aether Jelly. You should also gain a bit in PvP as well, tho I'm not sure they have that implemented yet.
