[Guide] Playing a sorcerer.

LOL, the topic owner think Illusion skill is a "god mode", avoid everything ) Sorry, Ranger and SM kill you faster than you act.

How can u avoid Fire Curse (cast instantly, transform you to spirit and fear you) from SM? next combos, SM will lock you and kill you like a cake.

Practice more and don't underestimate other classes. Sorc is a "glass" cannon, high damage but casting slow, easy to broke when they met fast skills

i loled, I assume that you never reached level 2?

 

Not same:
- Duel: you can wait your cooldown, fight anytime you ready
- PvP: enemy appear anytime you don't know, not wait your skills cooldown... and they're not alone )

 

the best sorc pvp guide is useing lightburst logging out...for 1 hour... keep doing that... xD

That's it? No use of Root I skill? I can kill every single opponent /wo using a greater dmg spell . . .
it's useless to cast Flame Spray / Inferno / Glacial if u don't have a planned strategy about what ru gonna do when he gets out of the CC and start charging towards you (which can take less than 1.5 secs, where u won't be able to cast anything, even worse if ur Arcane Thunderbolt is on CD, which will be if ur killing asmos somewhere)
There's only one good guide about sorcs which is located somewhere on the internet (It's old togh, but I've learned everything from there and I consider myself a pretty good sorc).
Plus u must have lots of reaction since if ur plans doesn't go like u planned, then ur screwed w/o a fast reaction in order to turn the tables again.

F.E. we can try to do any of your combos listed there, however if ur opponent has a M.resist set, that combo will fail epicly unless u use Supp of Focus. in order to win.
There are LOTS of factors when it comes to Sorcerer PvP. I might make a guide someday. Hoping ppl will find it helpfull :S

 

btw why arent u using soul freeze...the opponent can just use remove shock otherwise lol.
and illusion against ranger isnt that good in the beggining good ranger gonna use sleep arrow. asmo sorcs r kinda op though with their instant casts...and what about blind leap...its one of the most important skills. and why shouldnt u have any chance against sm? maybe in duels, but in real pvp the one who attacks first mostly wins...

yes, thats what i've notice with these so called expert who just bashed and bashed others who just try to contribute something for the others out there..if you don't like it, just stay away from it....or if you have something good to say or to add, just do it in a constructive way......way ii see it, "crab mentality" takes in and not helpful in any way.....ur actions speaks louder on the kind of person you are......just states the obvious contribute something constructive and not just flamebait or bashed somebody......otherwise, just STFU......

Nice guide, I started playing a sorc a few days ago and this thread has been very helpful to me and I have referenced it many times throughout leveling/messing with combos...

 

i wonder if there are any good cleric guide on stigma(lumiel)

 

so far i read that,you always use sleeping storm or illusion strom.. and i agree with that..
but you said vs ranger use illusion strom.. IMHO,its kinda hard because its distance 10m right? so you have to stay close with ranger,and when you come by to him prob he already silence us.. for me personal,ranger is toughtest opp against sorcer.. nomally i use Vaizel's Wisdom -> sleep -> curse -> lava tempest -> glaciar shard -> frostbite.. thats really work for me against ranger..

and i rarely use MS MB+27,because MB stack at 2600.. im not saying using MS MB is bad,that good too but if you can setup your MB dont get over 2600 because its getting useless if your MB over 2600.. and we should remember too,sorcer got 2 MB buff which increase 300MB x2 and 118MB..
