Socketing armor and weapons gives you a wide variety of attributes that will affect your character. Armor, weapons, and shields of any quality will have from 1 to 6 Manastone sockets on it. These are mount points where a Manastone can be attached. The attaching of Manastones is a way to customize your stats for your particular playstyle, and to fill in any weaknesses your chosen class may have.

There are two types of manastone: %

    [IMG]andthnd[IMG]
Normal and the Rare, rare manastone gives better stats than the normal one, always use the better one for better result.

    Manastone Stats and Calculations

    Attack: affects physical damage
Accuracy: used to calculate chance to hit with weapons or abilites, does counteract Evasion, Block and Parry
Crit Rate: used to calculate chance to score a critical hit. from 0 to 440 every 10 crit is 1&, 440 to 660 every 20 crit is 1%, 660 to 1000 every 50 crit is 1%.
Magic Boost: affects magical damage, roughly 10 points of Magic Boost is equivalent to .8% increase in your spell damage (cap is 2600)
Magic Accuracy: used to calculate chance to hit with spells, does counteract Magic Resist
Magic Resist: In every 10 Magic Resist (Mres) over Magic Accuracy (Maccu) increases 1% to resist, for each level you have over your opponent after 2 levels, you gain 10 Mres over them (caps at 95%)
Evasion: In every 10 Evasion over Accuracy increases 1% to evade an attack(caps at 30%),
Parry: In every 10 Parry over Accuracy increases 1% to parry an attack(caps at 40%)
Block: In every 10 Block over accuracy increases 1% an attack (caps at 50%)

    Socketing a Manastone

To socket a Manastone, simply double-click or right-click on the Manastone, then mouse over the piece of gear you want to attach it to and click. You will see the mouse pointer change when you are over a piece of gear with an open socket. A casting timer bar will appear and, when complete, your Manastone will be attached and active.

Socketing a Manastone can fail, although this is rare. If it fails the Manastone is destroyed. If you are socketing a Manastone to an item that already has one or more Manastones, failure can mean the destruction of all the Manastones on the item!

    Removing a Manastone

In the event you wish to replace a socketed manastone on an item with a new or different one, there are vendors in towns that, for a price, will remove a stone. This will allow you to attempt to socket the new manastone. Just remember, once a manastone is removed from an item, it will be lost.

I believe the crit cap or crit max is 1000.
