It's called ghosting. My friends and I used to mess around like that all the time years ago on other games. Mostly on Hero Online. It can be very entertaining at times but using it to impersonate a GM is bannable.

couldn't find 'ghosting' definition for computer gaming..
so can't pretend I'm smart T_T

 

Basically you say something or type a bunch of spaces just right and then type in Other players name: blahblahblah

If you do it right it will look like the other player just said something

I don't know if ghosting is the official term for it, but in the games I played that's what it was called.
