What could make this server more exciting?

Like the title suggests, What could make this server more exciting?
This is for Lumiel, Idk how things are on Siel but I bet its a little more fun
-Leveling from 1-55 takes a couple hours, depending on if your brand new or a veteran player, but thats mostly boring anyway

Again, this is strictly for Lumiel, but the PvP is pretty dull for the most part. I play as an Asmodian so 98 percent of the time we own all forts in the abyss and if you're lucky and willing to waste a lot of time, you could wait for Elyos to come into the core.
-Then for the ground pvp you have two options, you can take 15 mins and make your way to Ingisson only to find out that the teleport is being camped by 10-15 elyos and that the asmodians lack the mental capacity to form an organized push, even if we outnumber them 2:1. And even if you manage to get to ingisson and notice the spawn isn't being camped, you can run around for 10 minutes looking for people to kill or even your own faction only to be killed by a group of 20 or more elyos that you never saw. Spawn on your kisk, and repeat.

or... you can Rift but.... Even if you manage to find a rift, it's pretty much the same as Ingi, an overwhelming amount of elyos and a lot of dying.

So what else is there to do? Most of the raid bosses+instances are broken or disabled (But I hear the DEV(s) are working on that)

The AM hosted events are mostly a waste of time, no offence, but their events are either boring or biased toward those people who have better gear than the rest of us (Duel/1v1 events.)

Sooo whats left? I really don't have any ideas that wouldn't require a lot of custom coding to be done and with the pace that the DEVs work at, it may never get done.

So if you have any legitimate suggestions that could make this server a little more enjoyable or fun. Please feel free to share.

A smart thing to do would be to form a legion, recruit loads of members that know their stuff and do ground PvP along with them. Form great tactics to lure the Elyos out and rape their faces. Number doesn't affect when you have a good group to PvP with.

The only thing exciting about this server is PvP, since PvE is excruciatingly boring when there's no win out of it, really. Since you also already have the gear.

 

Protip: always play as the losing faction. Always more fun. It can be frustrating at times due to the sheer numbers of red names, but it beats the hell out of sitting on your ass waiting around for one kill.

 

He is. =p He's an asmo, and there are many more Elyos.

Thing is... the Elyos rarely go into the abyss.

 

Well Autumn, I would go Elyos but my bow is already fused so... I can't put it in the account warehouse, and I don't wanna unfuse it because its a ABG fused with Masta, unless an admin wants to trade it for me lol but I usually do pick the losing side but Asmo was the first race I chose

@Cropolite I would form a legion or even join one, but there aren't any good English speaking ones on Lumiel, it's mostly foreigners over there that don't speak english, most of the good english speaking legions seem to be on Siel.

 

Mm, I see your point there. It has always been hard to see actual English players, but yeah.. You'll have to do with the limited ones you have, or maybe invite some of your friends to play. =p

 

Yeah I have two friends that might be interested in playing here, so we'll see.

 

That's a start for a better experience on the server. =p

Could make legion events sometime too, if you'll decide to make it.

 

Having friends on this server makes it more exciting really. Just screwing around in-game makes it so much more worthwhile. I do agree that either joining or creating a legion will make things more enjoyable also.

 

want more excitement? add more hentai jk

nah really possible event suggestions
1. a fashion show could be interesting, bring out ur coolest looking stuff
2. a hide and seek event is alright, would be entertaining on a pvp map if its for both races at the same time
3. have a gm ask for the most random item, whoever brings it first wins (makes it more fair for people with weaker gear)
4. boss spawning event (yeah those r fun) xD

Yeah I know what you mean Selik, but like I said, finding a good group of english speaking players seems to be harder than it seems, Especially on Lumiel, for whatever reason most of the english speaking players seem to be on siel.

 

I personally dont give a damn about what you think that would make this server more exiting.

 

If I wouldn't have to ban 10 hackers a day & players would learn what's fairplay .

That would definately make the server more exciting .

I've been trying my best to avoid straight-out PVP events, just haven't had the time recently. I'll try to fit in some more luck/logic events at least once a day or so.

About the Stigma system: Overall consensus says no Stigma. Too many haters (and I am one of them o.

I've been trying to get Abyss Fortress wars implemented for a while now (Aetheric Fields, Walls, obviously race neutrality/no recapturing), which should make people really active in the Abyss. Also, Dredgion is supposedly being worked on, as well. And if 2.5 ever makes it here, that'll add a whole new wave of stuff to do.

If you're really bored, go help out and add stuff to the drops list XD

 

Mm, another hater? Why? Not every class loses as much as you'd think. Also, it ballences out the classes who have way too many skills for their own good.

 

I don't want to completely derail the thread with this, but in short, there's far too many people playing Gamez solely because it's the only (major) server left without Stigma. If those players weren't the majority it would be fine to implement, but being the High-rate PVP server that it is, a large loss of players would be pretty disastrous.

 

Mm, I was one of the people who only came for the Pvp. Idc if I have all the skills or not, if I lose some, then I move around it.. I wish people could think the same way.
