"Wall" shooting @ Ingisson

Is it allowed to people to shoot through walls? or rocks in this case.. I was over at the Primeval pass port from Silentera Canyon into Ingisson and theres these two huge rocks there and there were about 20 or so elyos rangers, sorcs, clerics shooting through the rocks.

Is this sort of thing punishable?

I got a few names of the people do it, but didn't know if this was a punishable offense.

 

Shooting over rocks is fine, but shooting through walls is a completely different issue. You can target people on above/below a rock but you can't target someone through a wall, without a 3rd party program.

 

Well the shots are coming through the rocks, so... take a look at this pic and see what you think. Can't even get close to the rocks without getting targeted.

 

I'm fairly sure it's not a hack. If you're waiting below, you can just back away, select your target (on the top), then move closer and wait for the person to walk in range. I haven't tested it with this particular location, but I've seen it happen for a few other spots.

In my opinion those ledges should just be removed, it's a pretty stupid idea that just leads to one race camping all day. >_>

 

I never claimed it was a hack, but on most private servers I've played on, shooting someone through a wall or an object is considered "illegal" and I was just asking if it was allowed on this server. But as long as you can target someone, shooting them through a wall or rock is fair game?

 

I guess so. This'll probably be fixed eventually so that you can't do it, but I don't think anyone's giving punishments to people that are doing this (I'm not, at least).
