This is just a copy past from here: http://forums.aiononline.com/na/showthread.php?t=973

"We will be comparing my current stats to Vigilant's Current stats and do a break down on how it all works.

Vigilant will be the attacker and I will be the defender here. Keep in mind Parry gets checked first, then Evasion and then Block.

I will list the formula's and then do the breakdown.

    Formula's-

    Parry: (Parry - Accuracy)/10 = Parry chance(40% Max)

    Evasion: (Evasion - Accuracy)/10 = Evasion chance(30% Max)

    Block: (Block - Accuracy)/10 = Block chance(50% Max)

Magic Resist: (MR - Mag Acc)/10 = Resist Chance(40% Max)

    Physical Defense: 10 PD = -1 damage

    Critical Attack: 10 crit = 1% from 1-440. 20 crit = 1% from 441+

The specific resists are different but all work the same. - 10Resist = 1% minus damage.
    Example - 200 Fire Resist = -20% fire damage.

Breakdown now of Vigilant attacking me(Defense first)

Parry Chance: (1621 - 1563)/10 = 5.8% to parry his MH, 7.2% to parry his OH

Evasion: (1208 - 1563)/10 = 0% chance for me to evade any of his attacks.

Block: (1848 - 1563)/10 = 28.5% to block his MH, 29.9% to block OH. (After the parry has been checked)

Now lets say he lands a hit with his MH that does 123-137 + 334. He would have to check my physical def then.

    Physical Defense: 1581/10 = 158.1

    Attack Damage: (123+334) - 158.1 = 298.9 damage to me non crit.

Steel wall adds 1000 to block, so normally this puts you at max of 50%.
    Example - (2848 - 1563)/10 = 128.5%

Now you can use this knowledge and really see how you fair against your opponents!

The real question is, what are the bosses Accuracy & Mag Accuracy? "

This reply to a loot of questions from some players and for me .
