Way to not read posts btw, because if you did read you'd see that I had the EXACT same problem the OP did, and also told him how to fix it.

Just curious, is there a proven case where a player accidentally speedhacked? As far as I'm concerned the OS has nothing to do with what executes inside Aion.

Problem is probably in Intels c2duo processor. Sometimes, the longer you play aion faster you move. In some point you are super fast, so fast you cant play anymore. Its some dual core processor bug. I read somewere way to fix it but it was long ago. I have c2d too but I never had those problems. Sorry i cant help more, but if i find that thread somewhere ill post it.

This is from another forum, dont ban me for this im just trying to help! :joyful:

    "Hi,
I wanted to share a problem I had been having with playing Aion. Evidently this is a known problem specifically with Aion.

When playing the game the actions of my character would speed up, faster and faster as I played longer and longer. The running speed would increase, the casting speed increased, flight from one town to the next increased and fairly much everything else too. It was not just local to my machine, other players would notice it too; many thought I was using a speed hack. I was worried about some GM having a fit and jailing me for a speed hack I was not using. Restarting my computer would temporarily fix it. Restarting the game had no affect. Within 20 to 30 min, it would become more and more distracting and in time unplayable.

I have been playing on this server since, oh about October of last year I think, and it has only been the last few weeks that this problem developed. I tried many things to fix this problem: reformatted my hard drives, new install of Windows XP (even went from 64bit down to 32bit), new download and updates from the NCSoft Launcher, uninstalled my firewall (zone alarm) and virus protection (avast), and newly updated my video drivers. Even a new video card, the one I had had been borrowed due to mine dying 5 months back, ok.. so I temporarily swiped it from a roommate… lol, had the same problem with both video cards.

Evidently it’s the dual core CPUs I have.

To fix it, start the game, then when at the log in screen do a CTRL+ALT+DEL (this will open your Task Manager), under Processes, look for the aion process. Right click on that aion process and select CPU Affinity. With dual cores two open boxes will be default checked, (all others will be grayed out) uncheck one, close, then close the task manager. This even works if you are already running the game and playing, the CPU response is immediate and totally fixes the problem. However, this must be done every time you start the game. It does not appear to save the settings.

    My system:
Motherboard: ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Socket AM2
    AMD Athlon 64 XP 3800+
3.5 Gig DDR2 Dual channel Ram (its actually 4 gig, but Windows XP is stingy)
GeForce 9800 GT, 1 Gig Ram (old Vid Card that still works fine – GeForce 7950 GT 512 MB – this is no longer installed)
Windows XP SP 3 32bit (I have also used 64bit)
500 Gig HD, in 3 partitions

Interestingly enough, this speeding up does not affect any other games that are played on this computer.

I hope this can help another player who has the same type of “Speed Hack” like problem.

**ALSO i changed the operating system to windows 7 - 64 bit, and the problem went away**
    Diana

    Solution #1:
Download, and install that if you have Windows XP.
I would suggest ANYONE that has this issue to do that ASAP, since it looks like you're using a speed hack.

    Solution #2:
Avoid using windows XP with AMD dual-cores
A change of operating systems would fix this so it won't look like you're speed hacking."
