Please Read, This is getting Bad....

Im having a problem and Im at the point where i have a bunch of level 50 characters.....Ive noticed something that is really bad. the Spirit Master is the most gimped character amongst them.....sure everyone has skills that dont work but the SM has the most....and its getting to the point where the SM class is virtually dead because of it....

Everyone sees it, everyone knows it. and now im witnessing it as well. Can you please work on the SM and at least get some of the skills working.....or enough where we can at least be equal to the other characters.......Makes no sense how pathetic SMs are with half there skills in the can.

I dont know what you guys are doing or if you just dont care, or dislike the spirit master. but its completely unfair to us who like to play them, that our favorite class is being completely ignored...

since Spirit Masters are the most gimped...yes I think they should be priority..outy:

 

I.... I don't know what to say to this. Unless more skills aren't working, SM's are far from gimped. All you need is fear, body root, silence, and your dots.

No, I don't feel SM's are severely gimped.

 

I beg to differ, with fear and DoTs you trump most classes in the game, no one can do anything while in fear except take the damage until they die.. your biggest concerns are rangers, and sins who get the jump on you.

 

Has it ever crossed your thoughts that maybe you're just bad at playing an SM?
I don't remember SM being food for everyone.

 

While it is true that SM isn't "gimped" by not having these skills, but that doesn't mean the skills aren't useful (especially when leveling). Skills should be working, considering this server advertises "all working skills"

True, But it really doesn't make much of a difference in pvp, when the other classes most powerful one hitter quitter skills work and all my powerful offensive skills dont.......most of the time in pvp the battle only last for like 5 seconds. will a dot kill someone in 5 seconds? No. fear can also make things difficult cause while feared they can still move closer and the DoTs will remove root spells. and even when feared there ability to absorb damage is increased (thats what the skill says at least, or something close). In the end all the other classes can kill you quick and easy without requiring much skill at all.......for the sm you need skill , tactics and the ability to predict your enemies and you need to be able to work your skills in perfect sinc so you dont mess it up. Other classes like the cleric, gladiator, chanter, ranger etc. can simply spam and ur screwed.....

Im sorry but there is a big gimp.....you gotta play all the classes to feel the huge difference.....I win sometimes. but thats because of extreme amounts of practice and tactics training.

I think its unfair that we have to go through hell to win while all you guys gotta do is go down ur list of "Powerful" "Working" skills and you win like its a guarantee.

Let's not forget that not everyone is ALL about PvP. Some people do enjoy PvE here and there, and the broken skills ARE useful in PvE

 

That too is a good point about all skills should work since they advertise it as so....by all means i would like to have rebirth working for clerics....

 

Look if you can't play a spirit master effectively with the skills you have at your disposal now, you wont be able to play them any better with more skills. All a spirit master needs is fear, a pet, silence, and slow.

There is no polite way to say this, so I'll be blunt and save the rest of the forum from having to look like 'the bad guy'.

You suck at Spirit Master (which, by the way, is an incredible feat because they are EZ mode and require almost zero natural talent, zero learned talent, and have a very flat learning curve...its more like a learning plateau to be honest.) You need to reroll to another class and quit QQing, or quit this server and quit QQing.

 

What you could do is make a list of the skills that don't work on here so they can look into fixing them?

Dude I rarely lose.....but thats only cause Im really good at playing these types of game and becuase i got mad years of xp in them.....Im not just saying this for me....so ill be blunt and say it this way, all the other classes are easy and thoughtless....they are less complicated than a hack n slash , while becasue of the lack of skill the spirit master has to go through alot of extra crap to get the job done....

its not that i cant win, cause i always manage somehow. its just that its very much harder and more complicated to win on the SM, than on any other.....everyone else got it hard, while the SM got it rough....Key word "Not Fair" btw people dont try to flame me cause Im not stupid and I dont burn well :lol:

let me explain something to you guys.....this isent a question of weather or not i got skills. this topic is about the fact that it is unfair that the other classes got it easy and the SM got it hard. the eveidence is this....go into any town and see how many of each class there are there....you may see 1 maybe 2 lvl 50 SM in the crowd. so believe it or not people dont typicaly make spirit masters cause they all know the truth....Gimped, difficult, and unnecessarily complicated.

I like PVE more than PVP actually tho i still love PVP so your definitely rite.....Pm me and let me know ur characters name and ill hit you up for some PVE sometime.:biggrin:

 

I think the fact that fear works and magic resist hardly works, also the fact thats pets do 5x more damage than they're supposed to, makes up for this.

 

you missing the point Dementa. that stuff is true except for the 5x damage thing...not sure where you got those numbers. but from what ive seen if your looking at it from that option as far as magic resist not working....it still gimps the SM and decreses the SM population...cause if you want to use that weakness, they will simply roll a sorcerer and say screw the SM cause sorcerer have higher magic damage.

Thing about the SM is that its lack in personal magic damage is supposed to be evened out bby the balance in debilitation, DoT, weak fast casting direct damage spells. and a pet. these qualities are supposed to balance out the SM for its lack of massive damage spells.

However all the weak fast casting spells are not working. the debilitation barely works with the DoTs cause root gets canceled by them. and we only got 3 DoT at that so when they are doing there thing ur sitting on ur hands. the pet does decent damage but it misses way to often to consider it a BIG deal.:whistling:

I think YOU'RE missing the point. The fact that you're complaining about spirit masters having it HARDER than everyone else is a testament to how terrible you are at Aion (and probably every other game you've put your grubby mits on).

Spirit Masters are one of the most Over Powered classes in the game (tied with rangers). Even with most of their skills disabled, they're still incredibly over powered.

Drop the subject. Quit posting. No one in this thread agrees with you. The only people who will support your argument are other people who have zero talent and main EZ mode classes.

If you're "an adult" and so good from your "mad years of xp in games like this" then why don't you bite the bullet and pay for retail Aion?

In gamez:
spirit damage was fixed last I checked. Doesn't hit x5 times (btw it was x2 times)
None of the resistances work last I checked. So fear ALWAYS works. Although fear shriek is sort of buggy, when it DOES work my SM can rape groups of people.
You also have all your stigmas. Infernal whatever is your main cannon, cyclone of wrath being second. Dispatches foes in seconds.
If you're sad that you can get ganked by rangers -- stack HP. Also, run. Also, spam body root.

as for crystal/upcoming SM... broken beyond belief. I don't know if retail is like this but everything resists. You can't DoT bosses at all (this being with taha +15 orb and level 52 killing a level 50 marabata). You're useless. Your slow only works 1 out of 6 times on monsters below your level. And don't even get me started on fear, lulz.

if you're QQing about SM being underpowered now (lulz) wait til' 1.9 xD

On retail Magic resist matters a lot. But Sms tend to have the most magic accuracy among all classes.
Also on retail all casters(Good ones) Use Book instead of orbs. Also bosses cant be slowed. Or feared or stunned or generally CCed

 

I'd take an SM or 2 in any of my 6-man groups any day.

 

I wasn't talking about CCing the boss (which actually works, fear procs like 1 in 30 times, i've also seen rangers slow them, and them getting stunned.)
i was talking about applying a DoT on a boss. It resists like a bitch. I could be spamming all my DoTs and the boss doesn't even have one on him. I may as well start hitting it with flame bolt.
