With a dispatch order from Pandaemonium given to him, the nameless Warrior set foot again on the soil of Altgard, a place that's covered fog most of the time, and is blessed with Aion's artistic eyes.

And it was also where he spent his childhood, with a loving family, and a little creature.

It didn't take him long to find himself arriving at the fortress gate, a place surrounded by an ice lake and huge snowy mountains.

If there was anything from his distant memory that reminded him of Altgard the most, it would have been the confined, visible fog that was always circling about on top of houses. Be it a breezy summer day or a harsh winter, he would always find himself staring at the fog for long periods of time, taking different shapes every minute. He knew that hobby hadn't changed when he found himself, again, looking up at the rooftop of Altgard Temple.

Small as the temple might have been compared to the gigantic structures in Pandaemonium, it was still how he remembered it: elegant, cozy, comfortable. The best place on Earth a young Asmodian could ask for in a cold, harsh, and survival instinct is of utmost importance like Asmodae.

There was something his mind couldn't figure out, but once he stepped inside the temple, the sound of kids running in and about the head priest, mixed with the scolding of the guards nearby, became clearer and clearer.

"Just like old time, huh." He whispered.

After a hearty chat with Thrud, the successor of Altgard's previous priest, about the current status of Altgard, our Warrior was ready to take his leaving and move on to the next location given to him.

With the help of Larad the flight transporter, our Warrior reached Altgard Observatory in no time to meet Autri, an agent sent by Pandaemonium to monitor the abnormal activities of Aether there.

As a kid, he never dared to go this far up north, as there were Lepharist Revolutionaries everywhere, and the monsters were known to be much more fierce than the ones living near his hometown. But now, as a hard-earned and respectable comrade in his peers' eyes, he walked in without hesitation.

The intricate designs inside the observatory immediately caught him by surprise, for our Warrior was curious about almost everything since he was young.

With Autri's report in his hands, he immediately left the building in fear that his curiosity might break something important, and he didn't like being scolded - especially as an adult. Looking to his right, a clear blue sky hit him right in the eye as he instinctively climbed up the boulders nearby and exclaimed with excitement, despite the laughing that the guards were making.

Walking down the hill leading back to Altgard Ice Lake, he took a left turn at MuMu Farmland, as there was a path to Basfelt Village - the little place where his grandmother lived in.

The mossy bridge was still the same as it was years ago, slippery and a bit dangerous.

And his grandmother's door was left unanswered, as she had passed away for a while now. Still, the little kid in him wanted to relive some of the things that he used to do so well.
And he knocked on it once more, to tell himself that she was only away for a while.

If there was one thing he loved the most, it would be finding new treasures, no matter its value. And he was in luck, because just as he strolled by Idun's Lake, out came a Giant Chest - the rarest kind in town.

And the result was nothing short of amazing.

Speaking of Idun Lake's treasures, there was a little thing that had bounded our Warrior to this place ever since.

Long ago, Mosbears weren't as fierce as they are now, and because they were so innocent and unthreatening to Asmodians, the older ones were easily killed and skinned by poachers. The younger ones were spared to grow up, thus completing the vicious cycle.

As our young, adventurous Warrior and his friends ran by the hills near Idun's Lake one day, he found a little Mosbear cub wailing, with a deep cut on its arm, next to the corpse of its dead mother. With the help of his buddies, he carried the poor thing deep inside the woods, where cruel hunters couldn't find him, and patched him up.

As if the bear was knowing what the little Warrior did to him and was grateful for it, every single day from then on, they would meet up on top of that hill every afternoon finding out new stuff, sparring, or even taking a nap together under a bush.

Then the War of the Rifts broke out. As kids reached adolescence, they were required to sign up for the Asmodian Army and join in the battlefield. Our Warrior was no exception, thus he left his hometown, his family, and the little cub behind. Assuming that the little thing would forget him after a few days, he reluctantly traveled to Reshanta for boot camp.

Little did he know, the cub grew up visiting the spot at least twice a day - as told by villagers. It wouldn't attack strangers unless they brought weapons with them.

It just sat there - with a seemingly sad face - day by day.

As our Warrior walked by the hill, he saw the same bear that fit everyone's descriptions. Piqued again by curiosity, he drew closer and closer, until he caught a familiar sight on its arm. A little scar seemed to have been sewed up awkwardly.

So he patted on the Mosbear, and opened his arms to offer a hug.

As the humongous thing turned from reluctance to curiosity and finally understanding, man and beast united like long-lost loyal friends.

And, just like old time that seemed to have lost forever, they did the things they used to do. They sparred. They told each other stories regardless of the language barrier. They fished together. They swam in the river. Just like the laughing kid and his new pal of yesterday.

But every reunion has its departure. The night soon fell upon the land, and it was time our Warrior reported back to Pandaemonium.

He gave the Mosbear one last hug, and drifted off under the moonlight.

TL;DR: Here are some outtakes that I didn't use for this story.

Apparently the second one was supposed to be his visit to Impetussum [or something] but I ran out of juice.
