I m sick and tired of gm events!
They r so b0ring n0t to mention pointless and unimaginitive

I know our gms have all what it takes to host great events and i have posted many suggestions which all had same fate-ignored. Even what seems approved was rejected http/forum.gameznetwork.com/showthread.php/58723-Armageddon!!----->never hosted

It s time we the players take matters to our own hands

I call upon ur rebelous nature to protest
As a show of our protest we will not participate in any gm event we don t like
This way they ll have to cancel them

And eventually rethink event hosting

Unless Carl turns all Mubarak on us, I don't see why this forum has to turn into a second Egypt.

Besides, when the hell do GM's host events?

 

There are 3+ events everyday since when the new AM were chosen, i hope you did join and enjoy them, and hope you will join them continuosly

If you're sick and tired of events, i don't see the reason why everyone should be, Bhakti.
Events that do not come from your mind are not forcely pointless and bad events, and, more, there is an event guide staff must follow and new events from suggestion topic must be approved by the whole staff. Atm, main importance is given to the work and tests we make everyday for the next update which will come very soon, because fixing the game revests more importance than approving new events.
If we make events is to let players enjoy them and we never force someone to join them, therefore there is no reason to say to players to stop joining them even if they are willing to because you will only deprive them from doing those and get their rewards.

 

I allready made a macro with it and plan to spam that macro when a gm hosts an event

I do not plan to shot the deputy here Demonkyrie i know u following rules my protest is not against deputies but against The sherrif(Ashtar) who has the power to make any event as well as the staff that makes these rules....

The rest of what u say i ll leave them not analyzed...Ofc i m only expressing my own opinion...If players support this all well if not
I ll just be the voice of a cryer in the desert(a man that s right but noone can listen to him) i m used to that role

 

Bhakti, normally you have some good ideas, but thats just completely off the wall.

I don't really think anyone realizes how well we have it at Crystal Aion, versus say GamezAion.

Our GMs on crystal are EXTREMELY active with the community (Versus Gamez, where the only GM events we used to have were unscramble the phrase by Kevster, actual events by Zee, or forum events by Fynie)

GMs on Crystal are DEFINITELY helpful with reports, be it bug reports, hack reports, or any sort of report (GMs on gamez were absolutely terrible at answering this, with the exception of Zee yet again)(And while we're on this subject, I've NEVER AND I MEAN NEVER seen GMs so active with the community, and I've been through quite a few private AND retail games.)

The events are done often, professionally, and are still fun (Versus Gamez, where we had the same few repeated events over and over and over, and godbless Zee for even doing them).

We should truly be grateful for what we do have. And rather than protesting, Why not make suggestions to try to improve things? Instead of helping, you'd rather cause detriment to the server?

Go play on Gamez Siel for a week and come back here, then complain about events.

I also believe that you missed my point in my post. Rather than complaining and protesting (Oh look, we're causing harm to the server by doing that use some common sense i know you have some somewhere), post ideas. I'm sure if they're not unreasonable they'll be seriously considered if not put in. But honestly, use a little bit of moderation. Events arent going to be done where we go get ABG pieces. Just wouldn't be fair at all.

Bhakti you saying that our event rewards are crappy very much disturbs me. I've played on several Aion pservers and this server by far gives the best event rewards. Im sure you guys do get bored of enchants, medals, jellies, scrolls, etc. usually and that is why I get permission to give out gold items like I did at Christmas and Valentines, and other things like headbands, costumes, etc. - to give you guys a chance to get things that maybe you wont ever have the chance to get in game otherwise. I myself am very grateful that Carl has even allowed me to give some of the prizes I gave.

I know that you try very hard to come up with interesting event ideas. Lets take a look at the ideas you've submitted.

Event Castlewars - this one would be possible except I know neither side will last 30 mins - it will be like an RvR and be over in a few minutes even with kisks allowed.

Droplist of mobs And Ashlin the gamemaster - No I am not willing to do this. What you see as a great idea, I see as a PR nightmare waiting to happen for me. Unless you are or have been a gm - you would never understand what would happen if I was the one to choose "the drop".

Armageddon!! - only part that wont work is porting unwilling players.

Ride of the Valkyries! Abyss pvpve event - not possible at this time due to mobs not staying despawned when I spawn them for events

***mu like invasion event*** !!! - see above reason

Capture the flag event! CTF - we have an event like this already

3v3 pvp League!!! event - when ablazed hosts an event similar to this - he has a hard enough time getting 3 teams to participate, let alone 10. If we have more players in the future it might be a possibility but right now its just not.

Aether Flying fishing - When I do events - I want everyone to be able to join and if I hosted an event like this I would feel terrible that not all the players could join it. Of course other gms could host this event together however.

 

I was expecting a reply from u...allthough i must admit u try to answer with rational statements they r completely air talking...My I don t know from where to start and what to say for there r so many things i think u r thinking wrong that I ll need many pages to answer and i must explain so many things. I ll try be short and to the point.

First of all I never said u must give Archon Brigade General s weapons to make the event interesting... To my view and to the logical view a GM of a Pserver with many features that do not work is oblidged to away(if he/she wants to be good at gming) to try fix what players missing compared to the retail version of the game...So rewards can only point to that... What we miss? We miss balic craft drops...We miss Necsium recipes, we miss gold and platinum medals we miss a coin system and coin rewards(but u can reward coins and then exhange them for the items at retail like way!!!---maybe more expensive so we don t annoy u that often.) we miss rare event fun items and costumes(u scored some progress here) we miss many remodel items of various short... These r some guidelines...i m sure if u try to think what rewards will be nice u have more access to game features than I, yet I m the one who figured so many and u only chants and scrolls which we can get by other means and u ruiing some fun of the game which is craft and sell.... For mayjor RvR type of events u can also use the azphell blessing race buff if u can summon that

Also a very important thing...An event with so many winners....SRSLY wtf? where u saw that? What s the point in fightig ur RvRs anyway? if i lose i get 25kk anyway so why i bother fighting in the first place????LOL for25kk...!!! I remember a hide and seek event when both ppl that foud u and not were rewarded same way! why bother looking then? Events must have the thrill of competition without it they boring so only real winners should win

Do ot underestimate ppl will to learn first events will be sucky i agree but after a while ppl will learn what to do...if they win too fast...well u can try with other players or go for a coffee with ur friends....!!!!

I was a gm on Lineage and i actually have been doing the custom drop thing...If it s so much troubling u can do it oly with major bosses and like first 3 kills only/boss/week and only selective bosses...So only the first 3kills are rewarded that can add competition as to who will kill the boss first or u can make it as an event... and not everyone wins items...U give the raid leader and he distributes accordingly

Yes u don t have to port unwilling necesarilly and NO U HAVEN T DONE IT STILL!!!

As i said to the thread u can port us to the original spawns... and I don t get something...u can despawn baleyg but not ragnarok?

A gm can be the mob(maybe not retaliate so even lower lvls can kill im. U have so many now to use as sandbags...use Reso many will be happy to see im dead!!!

Well if u were hosting such an event more players maybe train their Aethertapping...A/T is not useful for crafters is useful for all players cause they ca give them to crafters and they make em mats for free...Again ur obligation as a Gm i believe is to show ppl all aspects of the game and to train them in a way if u can

Also a general idea about ur statement----> Do not expect meto make the one flawless suggestion before u try to do it...try isolate the general idea and if that is good think how u can modify it so it can be implemented...ad that again is one of ur job as gm...


PS: Azphel(or whatever name) blessing...the +10/100 dmg in pvp u get when ur faction drops below 10/100 or 20/100(i forgot) u can give that as a reward if u can add it...for asmos r elyos winning a serious yet balanced event...u can give the buff for 1,2,3 or whatever hours days u see fit provided u can give that buff

well.... Bhakti if you dont like the GM event simply just dont join the event......
your somewhat like stating that your event ideas are pretty cool why not host an event and let us see....

u dont even consider the efforts done by the GM's since u did not appreciate GM events

in our legion everybody can do events by ourselves by hosting...so by that u can inculcate your cool ideas within your legion
and you will find out how fun it is......

i did join gm event yesterday..

the event took 1 hour. it was 3group elyos vs 3 group asmo..

the winner depends on the wins of each fanctions..

elyos 2 - 4 asmo

asmo wins..

reward :

winners :50 adoring candy 20 145 enchant stone
losers: 20 adoring candy

WTF!

i got 500 adoring candies!!!!!!!! and thats all we got? in wasting our 1 hour? just adoring candy??? wewewewewew!

i prefer make an event that is not worthless!

More or less we face the same problems in this area reso... Maybe we r just a bit better here because of Ashtar but even her must do more things to reach Bhakti s expectations

lol bhakti u talk to much... just becuase u dont like the rewards doesnt mean other ppl dont. I mean events are supposed to be just for fun. Other servers host event just for the sake of mass pvp, ash has raised the bar to include prizes so stop expecting so much. And dude stop complaining, go piss off if u have such a big deal with crystal

 

I m trying to improve things...improve is improve. i harm noone by making suggestions and Ashtar takes my suggestions far more seriously than all of u I assure u.

3. Your Armageddon event wouldnt make a difference i suppose,since all you're QQing about is prizes prizes and prizes,so what if its hosted,you get the same prizes and you're gonna make this thread nyways

4. Apply for dev,implement drops,and start talking bout better prizes

PS: Some days ago Ashtar did an event and rewarded 10/5 BMA to winners/losers...responding to one of my PM-suggestions...I take it u didn t like that then....
