Hi all, I joined Gamezaion yesterday, nice to meet you.

TL : DR-ers: PLS SKIP DOWN TO THE QUESTIONS SECTION

I participated in all of he NA aion betas and LOVED the game. I was convinced it would be the best mmo ever, that it would topple WOW, and all that good stuff. But when the actual game came out, I learned, along with all my friends as we hit level 30+ together, that the game was not as "NA-ed up" as NCsoft had us believe. The grind was just intollerable.

I am sure many of you here at gamesaion found yourselves in the same boat. Sigh, 60$ badly wasted. But anyhow, its all good because we now have Gamezaion, which offers more "reasonable" exp and drop rates, right? har har.

But ANYWAYS i digress. I shall now reveal my TRUE PURPOSE in writing this thread before I forget it.. and that is, to pester you, dear reader, with genuine noob questions.

THE QUESTIONS:

1. How do I turn off the damned trade channel

You know the one im talking about. The one that fills your chat box with 20 lines of spam in 2 seconds while your trying to talk to someone ingame. I tried playing around with the tick boxes in the text box options but none of them seemed to silence the trade @.@

2. How do i USE the trade channel

I am only level 51 and own nothing of value and have only 100m kinah to my name, but my hope is that eventually ill be striking deals through the trade channel. /2 does not work for me ingame.

3. "Do DP for Anuhart gears" <-- WTH does this mean

This was from a guid i found on the forum regarding how to make money. Im assuming it means "do dark poeta for Anuhart gear." ??.. If so, how do i find a group for dark poeta? I am lev 51 and have been around the zones, I never did see anyone making a group. If not, what does it really mean?

4. " Farming core for Elder gears " <--WTH does this mean

This is another tip from the guilde on how to make money in the Gamezaion server. Im assuming core means the middle layer of the abyss. Can anyone elaborate? Maybe if i knew what to look for ill build up the courage to go to the abyss. In a thousand years.

5. Is gathering still as dull and slow as it is on public servers?

I gathered some plants in the beginning area when i started, but i found that i was gaining one point per gather so i gave up. Am I doing it wrong? Is there a faster way to raise gathering skill.. like 20 points at a time? lol. Like 20 min into the game i found myself with wings and somehow at level 20.. but with a gathering skill of 3.

6. Are there any active guilds recruiting new members?

I know, not so much a question as it is a request.. but i just dont find this game as fun when im gunning it solo all the way. Im lev 51 and havent so much as stuck up a conversation with a single player lol. Im a pretty casual player who loves pvp and enjoys the occasional instance. My character's name is Spellchamp, give me a shout if you ever see me on!

2. if youre asmo, type in .asmo <message> if youre elyos, type in .elyo <message> but its 10MIL PER USE.
3. DP = Dark Poeta - An instance you do to get anuhart gear and tahabata weaps
4. Going to the Eye of reshanta and killing these mobs (i forgot ><" i havent been to the abyss for a while) to get Elder Gear which could be sold for a lot

1. right click a tab name, pick tab options, then open up system information in those options (at the bottom) and uncheck the first checkbox (some info stuff). turning off the race chat also turns off the response u get from //gmlist and /ping so dont do it for all tabs ^^

5. well depends how u define slow yes its only 1 level per plant but it stays that way all the way till 500 (unlike retail where u pick like 50 plants per level and more). same for crafting, 1 level per item all the way till the end

Welcome to gamez aion. There are plenty of legions. Crafting is semi boring but it could be worse.
Anyway, people look like they answered before hand, so hope you enjoy the game and play Asmo or I'll probly be seeing you in pvp.

Thx for all the replies! My sorc is Elyos since thats the side im more familiar with, but I plan on making an asmo too and see the areas i missed out on, then decide what to stick with
