This is to change the in game voice acting to the language of Japanese. Some people may like it, some people may not; I personally do :joyful:

This is not my guide actually, this comes from a site/ blog. The credit for this is to Palapala, I just wanted others to know about it.

    ~The Guide~

This voice pack will change your Aion client's voices to Japanese. This includes player character voices, NPC voices, cutscene voices and system voices.

This guide is provided "as is", choose to follow these instructions at your own risk. I am not responsible if anything happens to you, your account, or even your cat. The files of the voice pack come from the Japanese Aion game client and are provided to you for use with your Aion game client only. Please do not use for any other purposes.

Note: You do not need to edit/overwrite/modify/delete any existing files in the game folder. If you do then you are doing something wrong.

    Instructions:

---------- Post added at 05:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:36 PM ----------

[/COLOR]For 1.9 users, follow these steps.

    Step 1. Download this

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GFE1UHAX

Step 2. unrar it and place the folder on your desktop. Also, make a new folder called "Backup" on your desktop right next to the folder you just downloaded.

    Step 3. Go to
If your 32 bit, it will be.

Step 4. Drag the folders @

    To your "Backup" folder.

Step 5. Now open the folder you downloaded that has the Japanese voices. Drag them to

Done! Play the game and enjoy.

    ~JazzCard addition to the guide:

If you want to remove the pack, just delete it and it'll go back to default english

That's the guide. I know a lot about it, so if you're having issues or comments w/e feel free to post. :joyful:

Nice. Good guide. ;D Definitely going to implement this 'patch' of sorts. :] Considered more of an upgrade to me, though. ^_^

There's away of applying a Dye to abyss/Elder/ all those shiny looking armors that you usually can't Dye, but Remodeling isn't working right now. When it works, I'll add a guide for it ^.^

If it's 1.9 put them in your ''Sounds'' folder

---------- Post added at 10:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:49 AM ----------

Not the one in your L10N folder but juz the ''Sounds'' in ur main folder, and dont forget to make a backup of the old file or simply rename it

Nevermind got it to work with 1.9!

What forsaken said is wrong, if you have 1.9 just do as the original instructions say but make sure u delete the sounds folder in the ln10 or w.e folder, oh and keep a backup just incase :D

    No, that's wrong.

If you have the English version, you put the sound.pak file in C:\Program Files\NCSoft\Aion\L10N\ENU. There should not be a Sounds folder. If there is, remember to save it somewhere safe and remove it.

It's refreshing to actually see somebody post a guide, admit that they didn't create it and doesn't take credit for another persons work. Thanks for posting!

    Cool

I just put the japanese sound.pak file in Program Files (x86)/NCsoft/Aion/L10N/ENU/ and removed the original ENU.pak and sound folder. Thats what seemed to work for me. Although I may change it back because the voices are getting kind`of annoying. lol

What i find lame is that, the japanese version there's way more dialogue, like when I'm talking to a contact and the text screen comes up they actually say allmost everything on the dialogue window, and not even in cutscenes XD

but on the english version there's just a few ecxtra voices and only in cutscenes, using the japanese pak makes the game feel more alive, but that's me and my 2 cents :p
