The most important philosopher that gets us to believe that earth revolves around the sun was Brahe (no parallax in his hypothesis means geo centric earth doesn't exist), kepler (3 laws of planetary motions), and galileo which is the most reliable source as he uses a freaking telescope. If the mayans were DUMB ENOUGH to believe in geocentric universe (lollercoaster so liek uh sun revolves around the erthz??), and with the technologies that they had (predicting shits with stonehenges? Srsly?) HOW ARE THEY GONNA PREDICTS 2012 IS THE END?

Beside, those movie directors probably doesn't even finish school to know shits at all, you don't need to be a genius to use your imagination, so does everyone that goes into entertainment industries.
