Your last chance is to remove completely all the drivers and reinstall. I think there was a tool to remove all the files related to the graphic driver, but cant remember the name u_u

think the graphics driver isntaller itself offers the option to remove them. besides that, he could also use the device manager to locate his graphics card and remove the driver there

in any case, thats way too rash :p first lets check if its even the graphics drivers problem ^^

"ati2evxx.exe is the ATI External Event Utility for your ATI display drivers. It manages the ATI Hotkey feature. This process can be removed to free up resources without comprimising system performance."

no big deal :p there r some parts that r not required for a driver

how bout all the other files, it lists their version number besides them, r they all the same?

theres 1 more thing related to that that i can think of since its a mobile card. i have a geforce so its slightly different but u can try it too. mine ended up with lines running across the screen and then my pc froze and needed a hard restart until i did this

    1. Download the latest version of RivaTuner here: http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=rivatuner

    2. Install RivaTuner and Run the program.

    3. In the Main tab, click on the arrow next to Customize under Driver Settings to bring up more options then click System Settings (the first Icon)

    4. In the Overclocking tab, where it says "Force constant performance level" select performance 3D.

    5. Click apply, and reboot the system when prompted.

If for some reason the "Force constant performance level" drop-down is grayed out you will need to go to the "Power users" tab in the initial RivaTuner window. Then click on the "+" next to "RivaTuner \ NVIDIA \ Overclocking". Look for "EnablePerfLevelForcing" and under Value type 1. Click apply, this should allow you to modify "Force constant performance level." Finally, follow steps 3-5 above.

try that, skip the beginning since uve already done that, and im guessing instead of the NVIDIA ull be lookint for ATI (if its needed). at the very least this will improve ur gaming FPS. for me it also fixed the graphics glitches

this has nothing to do with overclocking, its just in the same tab. ur just optimizing the driver for 3D performance right now

and yeah i know u shouldnt overclock a laptop coz they have a sh!tty cooling system as it is and would overheat too much :p dont worry this is perfectly safe

oh crap >.> damn radeons xD then im running out of things to do

the last 1 in my mind is updating ur bios (basically optimizes the communication with ur graphics card). also if u dont do this crap then windows updates (yeah aion fcks up without some of them)

i really thought it would be the directx and it wasnt. u did restart ur pc after updating the dx right?

btw if it worked fine with ur old driver then maybe u might wanna do a driver rollback?
