I crash on character selection

Dear Gamez,

WTF is this?

I log on, then crash on the character selection screen.

I tried reinstalling my client, still didn't work.

Please restore my characters.

try make another account just for the hell of it and see if it lets u login. if it does, the problem is with ur client, not with ur account

 

I did.

On another account it's fine, I can log on normally.

But on my main account, le nada.

 

they r gonna tell u to submit a character unstuck request...although those dont even work anymore

try let one of ur friends login, see if they crash too (just curious)

 

Wait, there are other options...I'm not relying on staff that'll make me wait weeks.

 

do what i said above. if they crash too then there is nothing u can do by urself

 

There's hope. My friend can log my character. Now all we need is a little tweak here and there on my aion...and I'm fixed.

 

I shouldn't have fixed msn.

also try login again, if u still crash after ur friend already logged u

 

Too late, I already ragedeleted the texture file and now I'm waiting for the NCSoft Patch to repair it.

It was so tempting...all those times I missed kills because I accidentally "slipped" into the earth..

You mean to tell me that the Character Unstuck Request from the Control Panel doesnt work? A waste of time?

well they wont listen and wont take a look at it, but that doesnt change the fact that there r more and more people piling up with the same problem, the fact that they have been submitting unstuck requests over and over, waiting for days/weeks and r still stuck

 

My friend's main character got stuck too, and now he can't play the game because all his in-game valuables can't be repossessed.

 

oh geez. I hope you're not stucked and just a client issue, Tiff.
I, myself, am on hiatus right now and might just log back in after the next update or so. >_>

Situation-wise, I won't be stuck, it's just a data error that can be fixed with a re-patch using the NC Soft Launcher (hopefully).

If I am stuck, I'm quitting the game. No point staying to recover my efforts.

 

This really isnt the appropriate place for me to say this but...

Your exactly right. More an more of us are having this issue or an issue very similar like it. The Topic at hand (Threads) are getting lengthy yet, nothing is getting done. I myself is one of them with a problem similar. Sad thing is, unless your a person in a certain position then your case is over looked, ignored, isn't important. Although, im slowly beginning to believe that maybe they have no idea how to fix it. The lack of communication/response tells me every bit of that is true.

No matter what you do, (follow the chain of commands) how nice, patient you are, you get nothing, not even something as little as a response. A Response would definitely help alot of us a great deal. At least then all of us with this sort of problem would be at some sort of relief that we arent being totally ignored.

I'm only one person.. These are my words.. My opinions may differ from another..

It's unfortunate that this is happening to people, especially to someone as nice as Stiggles, she doesn't deserve this, nor does anyone else. Wished the staff here would take some sort of pride in what they do and at least help the players that need it the most.
