Sorcerer Discussion

So I was resocketing my gear and was wondering what other sorcerers use. Right now im in abg rocking all m acc with mr in my tome.

What armor and builds do you guys use? Feel free to post number stats. Let's see if we can come up with something to face boq asmos :s

 

I went full MR on my sorc. Used Supplification when needed.

Tho I enjoyed my spiritmaster who was MR armor, and MA fused tome a bit more than my sorc.

 

I use full MR on my sorc since I really need it because dont have a PVP defence like an abg set, I only have masta so I use MR.

 

I can see full mr being useful but lets say you're fighting a sorc with ward. They manage to survive for 20 secs of supp and your left dry. What then?

 

Then thats the time you give up and just accept defeat and take revenge until you kill him to death. ha

 

Mr sorcs make it easier for m acc sorcs :3

 

They won't survive twenty secs. Unless all you do is glacial shard, then flame spray, then root and wait for glacial and flame spray again. Play smart tactics. Have an MA tome to swap to. CC them and run out if you have to. I can't say I've ever been in that situation, but I suppose thats what I'd do.


Edit: But MA sorcs aren't the only things you fight. Like I said, play smart tactics with everyone.

 

sometimes its hard to play smart, boq sorcs with supp cant kill me when i pot and break stuns. if you're fighting someone at a high skill level kiting for 20 seconds gets easy. do you start with stun and let them dispel then use supp and stun lock? or do you assume they wont pot silence and youre free to do whatever for 20 seconds. they can even retaliate and use a cc on you for 20 seconds

 

Sometimes you're outplayed. It happens. You won't always lose in said situation though. I'm not gona argue that you'd win, because it's all in the players. What I do is I think about what he could counter with, and anticipate it and counter it with the adequate skill. Though, you could always choose the wrong combo to use. You can't win them all.

Like I said, from my experience full MR sorc worked best for me. Since MA sorcs aren't the only things I saw running around.

 

im not a very good sorc but .. we have casting speed buffs so ill go with magic resist then a couple of MA and HP

I just got an ABG tome yesterday but I am quite confuse what manastone exactly fits in it (I got full Magic Boost on that tome but I don't know if it's good). Also I want to know if Tahabata Tome is fine to fuse with it. I have MCD and EGT (clean sockets) but I don't want my MCD to go to waste. A friend told me to fuse the MCD with the EGT then ABG with the Tahabata. So I can have 2 tomes with different manastones to use, depends on my opponent. Now I don't know exactly what manastones to put.

I only wear an EGT set for my sorcerer and the manastones I managed to put are Magic Resist (3parts) and Magic Accuracy (2parts). Ok I know you found it absurd but it just happened that I lack Magic Resist manastones while socketing it so I just used some of my spare Macc. (I am really planning to make my sorcerer full Mres since sorcerers doesn't have any magic resist increase buff)

I am really not good handling Sorcerer and I suck on it bigtime. I am actually a Chanter user but I felt fascinated when I made my Sorcerer and saw how great the damage it gives, if luckily the opponent is not full Mres (but even I am noob using it I still got more kills than my main, LOL!). I have this experiences in-game that even I already buff all the buffs to increase my Macc. still my sleep, and other skills are resisted. And that's just sad! So I am kinda guessing to put full Macc on my EGT set. Is that a smart move??
