Rifts? I ll give u rifts...!

A lot of fuss has been made about rifts 55 implemented and not implemented...

Well there is no real need for a rift. I ll give u something better than rifts...

The riftmasters!

I m surprised noone ever thought about this yet...

So what s a riftmaster? A rift master is a gamemaster with the /movetome command.
How this event works? The gm goes to Ingisson/gelkmaros announces to both factions that a new Riftmaster has appeared. Any person that wants to wispers to gm to be ported(ofc if the riftmaster is in Gelkma only elys wispering and if in ingis only asmos)

And there u have it! pvp in gelkma/ingisson rifts 55 installed without any coding at all!!!

No pointless walking to reach the rifts. Only possible drawback is u need a gm online
OFC the Gm hosting this must also take notice of Forts not to be vulnerable or about to be vulnerable or this would turn to an advantage of one faction or the other.

To those that would say that Ingisson gelkmaros is huge...i ll add that it is not since elys and asmos can only go to half of their oppoents land due to walls/doors blocking.


TBH i was planning to do this if i ever was chosen as a gamemaster...but since my extreme(extremely advanced tbh) ideas get me to trouble and this ain t happening I ll abandon my ambition...Anyway the important is to host this doesn t matter who hosts it...and i prefer to play it as a player 24/7.

 

using that command for events is severelly forbidden, i have already suggested it on irc too and i was immediatly denied still i agree with the idea :X

I guess they (those who can do something) are no longer interested in the crystal

 

exposing an idea is not defying a rule, i will always follow game rules. And the idea is cool while the server waits for rifts to be back. More than 70 players are waiting for them to come back playing.

Wrong, we've said that update will take 55 rifts back, so nothing to worry about.

 

Rifts 55 is crap I m totally against it

u should try harder to convince devs that no harm will be done anyway if they do the riftmasters alternative

i'll try to, i like the idea as i told you But i still think rifts are needed for server sake, too many players want them.

 

Too many player also want full ABG as starting gear....

And I ll add something to really understand my personallity that u didn t for so long...

If i ever was in your shoes...I WOULD HAVE HOSTED THOSE EVENTS ANY FREAKIN WAY! no matter the consiquences to myself.

This event is kinda like the Raid event I thought up a few months back. For example. GM's Stand in Heiron and announce to asmos what is happening, Asmo PM GM to be ported and then 5 minutes later elyos are told they are being attacking in herion and then asmo try and get to the main town.

 

Exactly that s the idea...only u doing it in a bad location...In heiron there are low levels xping that are in no mood to be one shoted/camped in the place where their quests are held...
Gelkma/ingisson is a much better place to port 55s since they can even get DP from mobs

 

I only used Herion as an example, GM's could go anywhere where rifts are normally up in.

 

Lolzies...Gelkmaros and Ingisson don t have rifts and that s exactly the point!
