Okay, I know the title maybe misleading, however I'm wondering if others have similar problems. For the past month and a half I have had random crashes that have annoyed me alot during Aion, which resulting in me completely uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

To my absolute horror, my Aion now consumes a colossal 28.8 gigs of ram?! Now, I asked a few players about this and they were shocked, some were even stating that their Aion was less then 20 gigs of ram and were able to play on Gamez Aion perfectly.

Previously my Aion was slightly over 20 gigs, which I thought was "correct" however now that I've been talking to other people and seeing that they are able to play on Gamez absolutely fine while having nearly half my gig consumtion. I'm wondering what I went or did wrong?

I mean, I own the game (the original Aion from 2009) in which I would use to install first which makes the process faster, then I would simply "update" the game from there on. Now I've been told that since I've also fully updated that I won't be able to craft gold items anymore which is very troublesome indeed.

So, what I'm asking is, where did I go wrong? Is it better to actually download Aion from scratch and just simply not update? I am curious, because I want to do this correctly, and have even attempted a system restore, however the last official date was from when I had previously uninstalled the game, so I'm out of luck on that.

So if anyone who has an answer on what I can do to correctly fix Aion to be able to play on Gamez with less ram consumption and all, I would greatly appreciate it.

well, i am wondering if you went and updated the WHOLE way. If you have, then maybe that's the reason for the crashes. Suitable area for playing is around 2.1.0.5 ~ 2.1.0.8. Check your version first to see if you have updated too far :p

Okay, you might actually be on to something, because I'm at version 2.1.0.10 which is clearly above the versions that you have indicated.

What is the process of updating that I can to in order to make sure that I don't fully update my Aion client completely (I'm quite noobish at pcs, so help me)? Again, I would really to get this solve asap, and thank you for replying so quickly, I appreciate the help greatly .

right. Maybe, in the process of reinstalling the game from previous versions, you may have updated your client to higher versions that are supported in stable status by Gamez emu. try checking your version if it is between the range set by tsuuki, and if it did exceed, try installing a lower version that our server can support.

actually the server is running 2.1.0.3 (im running fine with no crashes on 2.1.0.2), the new ones can get annoying :p

using the update method leaves massive update files behind (u can tell by their filename). the ~PS folder and the update files (when u enter ur NCSoft\Aion folder, scroll down, the first free files r update files numbered by versions, u dont need them) r the ones that often take up the unnecessary space

and yes if u download from scratch using the ncsoft launcher, ull get the smallest version without all the update garbage left behind

So if I simply download the scratch version that I can simply utilize that to play Gamez then? Yes, would like to make a full confirmation before I do so. Because if so, then I'll simply uninstall my mega-Aion game atm and simply start over with that option if its possible.

u dont need to uninstall, just delete the files i named coz they take up space without being required by the game :p

but yes, using the ncsoft launcher to download the game is what most of us do and yeah my game is like 14.6gb (15.7 in reality)

Okay, I need some better and more proper instructions as well. Forgive me for being a pc noob, but that's the simple truth.

Is there a possibility that I can downgrade from 2.1.0.10 to 2.1.0.3? Also I can't stop my Aion from simply updating, because whenever I try to cut it off, I simply cannot log into Gamez Aion at all, nor make it work period. I've tried downloading from the site, I've tried downloading from 2.0.0.2 version to update, etc, etc...and I still end up with crappy 2.1.0.10.

As for deleting certain files to limit the amount of hard drive consumption...which ones do I delete? I have a lot of them which is what confuses me within the process, about as much as what Tijerina has posted.

At this point I have basically stopped playing Gamez due to the fact of having the stupid buggy 2.1.0.10 version, I really miss my older version now.
