Question

I'm not exactly sure where this should go in the forum as a whole, so I shall safely post here. I'm a player of retail, but I also enjoy taking a break from the retail community. I would like to do this by playing a private server. I've tried infiniteAION, but it blocked me from playing retail. I don't know if it has to do with their launcher blocking NCsoft's or what, but I did go over their Terms once more after not being able to play retail... Lead me to believe they have a block on it.

Now, my question is... If I download your server and play it, will I be able to play retail as well? I don't want to have to system restore once again after I play for a while and want to go back to retail... It's a pain in my toosh, if you ask me. If you could please get back to me, I would really appreciate it!

 

Copy your retail folder, and install gamez launcher in the copied folder.

Done done done.

 

No you won't have any inconvenience all you have to do is back up your gamez files in a separated folder (System.ovr, Itempack.1) and install gamez aion launcher when ur done playing gamez aion repair ur client and ur good to go.

there is a problem with the way infinite installs its launcher. it requires the folder to be named Aion and wont work with anything else

for other private servers u can just make a copy and install the launcher in it, but it doesnt work for infinite

the 2 files private servers overwrite r located in ur bin32 folder
d3dx9_38.dll
IpFixModule.dll

u can always repair ur client or make a backup of these 2 if u plan to switch

otherwise yea, use more folders

 

Well, in my opinion, people who move to private servers must hate retail with a passion.

99 percent of "hackers" google it lol, if u try type gamez aion into google, "gamez aion hack" is the 2nd top recommendation

It's not that I hate retail with a passion... I just get bored of the same people everyday and all my slots are full, so I can't really visit other retail servers. :[ But I will try all of these fixes tonight, when I get home from work.

Actually, i played retail, it's very enjoyable. Why i moved here is because i realised paying for a game that is somewhat free for private servers is ridiculous. Also, duping doesn't happen on retail because it's not as bugged as this server. Duping only happens because of bugs. It does not happen at all on retail due to their bug/hacking protection being very high.

 

same as dupers, they just google the steps, they dont invent them
