Problems with chanter stuns

Are chanter stuns broken? I'm just wondering because I keep having them do absolutely nothing against other players. For example I keep dueling and using Inescapable judgment and it does nothing. No damage nor stun. In the combat log it just says "You did 0 damage to <target> with Inescapable Judgment." It happens frequently with my other stuns and knockdowns to. Am I just nub or is there actually something wrong?

 

stuns are working normal, they should not stun 100% on targets, you are doing 0 damage because you casting on someone with a shield buff.

 

Did you check if they had a shield of some sort up? You cannot do less than 1 damage in a single hit unless it is resisted or there is a shield.

(Inescapable judgment is an attack skill, so it can't be resisted. The stun however can be.)

 

I did it against a Ranger with no form of a shield up and also a glad. Neither of them had shields, my other abilities were hitting them just fine.

 

the stuns are fine, just got done with alot of duels on my chanter, i was stunning ppl fine

 

If you're absolutely certain there's something wrong take a screenshot so we can see and understand more of the situation.

 

Evaded?
I know rangers can evade with a skill
also if evasion works right it could happen vs a gladiator

normally in the chat log (which I rather HATE and strongly disagree with) it says evaded or resisted ABOVE the skill's damage.
e.i.,
The target has evaded inescapable judgement.
You did 0 damage to target using inescapable judgement.

^ really retarded.

 

Yeah, many players start duels off with shield/focus evasion for one. So, chanters starting out with that attack normally get it avoiding or blocked
