Any other way to connect than through launcher? Please Help!!

I've been trying to fix this for a few day's now with no success at all...

I continuously get this error without fail... no matter if I defragment my computer, reinstall the ENTIRE aion application and redownload the new launcher.. even if I remove the 3d3 file, even if I delete entire bin32 file and use NCsoft repair feature... I've tried to download thing's such as the "RegCure", but since I am on a 64-bit OS they are not compatible.



The issue seem's to be with the launcher itself for me, I have had no issue's at all connecting to the server or using the launcher(s) until a few day's ago (I could even connect after the server switched to patch 1.9 and even to the new server the very day that it was changed!).

I'm hoping, desperately at this point, that someone can give me a fix to connect to the server or at least bypass the launcher or give me an old launcher to connect to the new server... even just tell me how to switch where the server connect's to and I'll do it!

What work's for sure is the support file's I downloaded from the sup[port section on the www.gamezaion.com site, that bypasses the launcher and open's aion fully... but when I attempt to connect it tell's me "Unable to connect to authorization server". Is it because the support file's are still connecting to the old server and not the new one yet? I hope this can be fixed..

I really want to play gamez aion and I hope someone can help me find a solution so I can play again...

Also, it doesn't work if I put the entire aion client on my desktop (which does not rq admin permissions to install). Same error as before.

i don't know if you've tried this but do a search in google about "error 0xc000007b". it looks like it could be a virus or a firewall issue. u can try the solutionspeople give in those forums..hope it works for u man

I'm 100% sure that it isn't a virus or firewall issue though, already had virus scan's run multiple times over the past few nights :sad:.


Also the "Regcure" was something I tried... but not compatible with any 64-bit OS, and will cause more harm than good if you break the program to access it. inched:


I still figure if I could get some sort of crack (like the support files) to skip the launcher and open the client that it would work... long as the server stuff is updated to the new one.

But I am far from good enough with computer's to ever even imagine being able to do that lol.

 

which virus scanner u use?
try using different virus scanner like mcafee..but i think u have to uninstall the anti virus u have right now first

 

Norton, Avg, Bitdefender and Kapsersky . Yes, I've been desperate enough to do multiple scan's.

i read in the other forum that norton didn't pick up the virus but mcafee did so i would try that if i were you

I haven't been able to log in for almost a damn week, I am entitled to want to bump this thread up.


If this thread is closed I'd be very VERY VERY dissapointed. Especially since I've pretty much dedicated the past three day's of my time OFF trying to fix this issue.


If it's because of post count then ask a GM to remove my post count, I am fine having a post count of 0 or whatever... I just want to be in the bloody GAME!

Having Problems with the installation or Launcher?

Download the necessary files here and place them in your Aion Directory
Usually C:\Program Files\NCsoft\Aion
Now Open "Start Gamez Aion.BAT" to Connect.

Far as I go... I've done anything and everything possible other than go out and get a new computer (Which let's face it- is PRETTY damn extreme...).


The problem isn't something I can resolve without external help... as much as I've tried to do it on my own/on internet guides, etc...

Aegis, from what I understand you're saying that the launcher ceased to function just "out of the blue" at a certain day, right? Could you please be specific as to what you've done or might've happened prior to the launcher not working?

Also, from what I read you haven't done a system restore. Usually when things like this tend to happen, a system restore would be a viable alternate solution should the need arise. In this case, since you tried several different methods of fixing the problem, I recommend you do try a system restore.

I have no idea what OS you use, so if you don't know how to do a System Restore, you'll have to Google how to do one on the system you use. If you want I can also be available to directly speak with you on an IM program like Skype or Xfire if you so desire; it would be much easier to tackle this problem as well if the system restore fails to succeed. My username for both of these IMs is xyrhoshi.

It was the day AFTER the server changed over that I couldn't connect, I connected just that night and was loling at how few elyos there were in their abyss base with a legion mate... woke up the next morning (shut off the comp, didn't download or install anything.) and then I got authorization server error's when I used the Start-Aion.bat file or the older version launcher for here. Was trippy... Redownloaded the startgamezaion.bat from the support section and it still gave me that error..

whiole the new launcher gave me that 00007 error. :S

 

I think maybe that .bat file carl gave is outdated then
the authorization error used to happen with the old launcher on gamez (the one for 1.5)

 

That is honestly what I am hoping is happening, redownloaded it like 100 times.. no issue booting it u, bypasses the launcher.exe and I get to the screen just fine and then.... authorization server error... T.T

Quite weird that the normal launcher doesn't work for you

I'd try to look up an IP or something through the new gamez launcher but I dunno how to dissemble .exes lol

I know some launchers require .net framework to work -- though I didn't previously have that on my computer and it worked fine. Gamez Aion was one of the first things I had installed =/

 

Yeah... that 0xc000007b (Failure to initalize program) was pretty much clear out of the blue for me... first time experiance LOL outy:;

I wish I knew how to tear apart .exe's as well xD
