As the title says,

What set is better for rangers ? EAT or MASTA?

they usually say eat for pvp and masta for pve but lets face it, this is a high rate pvp server lol, thats pretty much all u end up doing

so yeah eat

 

Im useing both of them. EAT is Abyss PvP set while Masta is like Anuhart but lv55

EAT > Masta since PvE as in raiding bosses & stuff simply do not exist after a point .

most boss drops have been disabled so people dont do them

Leaving aside the pvp bonus, it seems that masta leather gives you much better stats.

 

I was referring to Dark Poeta as "a point"

Also the comparison you posted PoiZoN is a piece of crap , since it doesn't show the most important difference between the two armors , which is the PvP Defence Percentage .

 

u wouldnt do dark poeta if u bought eat or masta to begin with if u already have stuff from there and then r donating, u wont go there either xD

I choose masta from the bonus. pvp def good for tanker. Good ranger can kill with kite without touched by the enemy.

 

I agree with you.Rangers are made for DPS'ing , and the extra 56 seconds of flight time are great for Abyss!

 

best for ranger set is Leatrix set and BP set

EAT for PvP. (Added percentage defense bonus)
Mastarius for PvE.

Well, this is a high rate server with ****ed up drop rates. Who would even do PvE? Might as well get a PvP armour. > >

 

mastarius is better give + hp + stats and def look !!!!

PVP = Eat / Egt / ABG

PVE = Masta / Mcf

Well for me i'll choose masta set .

For me , Rangers dont need to tank so yeah i'll choose masta set .

 

Here's an example, a person inflicts 1000 physical damage on you without any gear on.

Now you wear Stormwing's Set with 1900 PDEF, this means you lower the damage by 190 = you receive 810 damage.

Now you wear EGT/EAT Set, with 1800 PDEF and 20 percent damage reduction.
180 damage reduction from the PDEF and 200 damage reduction from PvP percentage = 620 damage.

Keep in mind that PvP is always percentage and it counts versus every single attack, while PDEF is just versus physical attacks with a lame damage reduction of 10 every 100 PDEF. You will see the difference on big hits. If anyone hits you for 4000? Here we go, PDEF just reduce the damage by 190 (Stormwing's Set); EAT/EGT set with PvP percentage; def (20 percent) reduce the damage by 800. That's the real difference over time.

Just my 2 cents. I know the thread says EAT vs Mastarius. Please don't flame me. This is just my opinion with regards to Abyss items specifically when it comes to rangers having low defense and getting hit with high damage. > <
