Refer a friend

I don't know if this is possible but a refer a friend system would be pretty cool to have for the server.

What I was thinking was that players invite friends by email from the website and if an account is then signed up with that email the player who refered them would be rewarded.

Although there are a few issues with this suggestion like people making emails and accounts to get the reward. Something that may stop this is like an IP tracker.

..actually its a very cool suggestion..but i can see some problems here..let's say regarding the IP tracker..not all players have static ip (definition http://searchwindevelopment.techtarget.com/definition/static-IP-address-dynamic-IP-address)..and yeah the main problem that we might face here is that greedy players will take advantage of this by changing ip address before opening the email..so like i said coolest idea ever but then again flaws eat the idea up..bugger!..one solution for this problem is to give the referrer lesser rewards (let's say like L90 e.stones) and the referred a bigger reward for joining (like starting pve gear: theobomos lab set is a good start) so that they can at least feel that they are welcome to gamez..^^

ever heard of proxies? this system will be heavily abused, very heavily

lol there would be no reason to refer at all thats like 1/5th of 12 hour voting, its nothing

 

definitly a good idea...yet a bad 1 because of the proxy

 

To many fake accounts will be created... see the quantity of hackers and dupers. Multi-voting accounts etc.

Though I like the idea, its another mean to be exploited.

 

..yeah they can still trade it but what will they do to a free set?..^^ ..and yeah i also think that they can trade the e.stones so that's the only problem we might get plus proxies..this is a good major idea but a complete bugger..T_T

 

it seems as if you do more good for this server not being a gm.

 

proxy ip users? i heard of them too but before i intended to use that someone told me its too risky and has high risk of getting hacked
