I ll add a few gathering tips for crafters and non crafters to this guide

Aethertaping: In the case u can t buy Green/blue/yellow(i use colours it s easier to understand so gMA=green magical aether bMA yMA etc)
MA from the vendor because of a fix/despawn of these vendors and u must gather yMA or bMA use this gathering tactic

When u out there flying first of all look an online database to find where the 475-leveled MA nodes are. there r 4 kind of nodes 400 425 450 and 475. 475 have high chance to give u more gMA and bMA. yMA is all the same according to databases but i think it s outdated 2.1 increased the chances i think

How to gain more gMA bMA yMA per hour harvesting

Second thing u can t do is stop when u gathering wMA. You can see what kind of MA u getting and if it s wMA(or even gMA depends what u want) just move ur char a bit he/she stops harvesting. So in the end u ll gather more of the special aethers faster, and if u want wMA u can break the gMA and bMA u ll end with about same amount if u fully harvesting more or less but u increase chances for yMA which are more valuable if u interested in crafting gear

IN short: U start gather a nod...u see it s white MA u move your char a bit u stop gathering u r ready to regather till u get a green blue or yellow MA


Essencetapping and leathers: If u need vast amounts of normal mats i suggest use a combination of morph/ET as follows

in all ingisson/gelkmaros AT spots there r mobs on the ground that drop leathers and there r also all kinds of ET nodes. so go there exhaust ur fight (u can make flight gear if u like u can find flight manastones in Kromede s trial) morph what u can with cippo ather jely(asmodian i forgot the ely name for that pot)
kill the mobs if u want leather or gather from the nodes while u wait for flight to fill or for cajelly to cooldown. this way u maximize ur gain/hour/effort

Noncrafters: when u killing mobs for leveling or for drops/quest do loot the crafting mats they drop(leathers) even if u don t plan to craft it just cost u 1 inventory slot and u may sell at a good price lateron or help a friend crafting or get another player craft for u. it s easy if u have the mats

PS to Demetrea:I never used a AT/ET hat ...they look nerdy(lol) and I remember all the node hot spots of important endgame recipes(diamonds etc included

 

They do look nerdy xD but it's a good tool for those who are just starting gathering and stuff.

Thanks for the tips by the way, but yeah aethers can't be brought in this server [Carl removed the NPCs] so they'll have to gather the aether for themselves.

nice guide, but i got a problem. my guildies who have been playing for months already have their craft skills mastered. me, i just started a week ago and i started to do crafting. weird thing is, i can't seem to get my craft skills to expert. there is a quest, but i can't find the designs needed to make the required items. what should i do? i also checked the design vendors in primum, but they don't sell it.

 

The quest is bugged now,you have to wait untill it will be fixed or quest will be removed

well that's a bummer. it's also the same for the cube expansion quests. can't start any of them. shugos only let me expand up to cube 2 row 2

 

@Puddii: Yeah the new emulator kind of did some annoying bugs. Reporting the bugs to the Bug Reports thread will help a lot :3

I'm new to crafting and just got acquainted with the materials merchant who was selling Aether in Pandaemonium as an Asmo.. I am trying to buy Aether from the said NPC but the sale does not complete successfully, whenever I purchase nothing happens, no deduction from my kinah, and of course the Aethers do not go into my inventory too.. any advise here? thanks in advance.. i also have the 2.0 NPC pak but I guess it does not help

 

there's a limit to how many you can purchase every 12 hours. in the 1st page, all the items can be bought 10 at a time, up to 20 pieces each, except the bottom 2. that's all i have confirmed. you can try figuring out the rest on your own.
