what if put another place just like arena that 2 races can enter and pvp. a place that flying is not allowd i really want a ground pvp hope this will be implemented w/out taking off the free flying

 

Since there's an issue about this poll not being popular enough, perhaps a GM can put this in announcements or something, that way more people will see it.

If needed, it can be restarted.

 

Ground PvP > Flying PvP

But so many good things on this server makes up for it.

ground is way better, rangers can make all the time if they play well in air.... totally unbalanced.

i support ground pvp.

but... I have to disagree with you on the fact that people should just leave the server if they want 'no free flight'.. it's not the only reason why people join the server... and how do you think donors who spent money just to get their gear would take that comment...

 

only donors that don't have to farm for equipments to pvp.

i voted yes for ground pvp btw. i just don't like people saying pve doesn't matter. like their equipment is spawned into their inventories like magic(or cash shop)

 

ground pvp = more intense pvp. Ranger mau will finally have its use LOL.

Flying increases your speed, true. It also increases the speed of anyone else that flies, true. So the only reason not to like PVP in the air would be because you aren't good at it, hence learning to use your stuns. I personally love air to air combat because it adds a multitude of new strategies. Limiting PVP to the ground will only allow sorcs and rangers to run from you, the same way they fly from you. Pretty soon you'll be requesting that they remove everyone's legs.
If this stupid request goes through, we'll be playing another wow clone. And if that's what you want, go on WoW, jump on your flying mount and fuck off.

Ground pvp is boring and doesnt force people to do any crafts...i wouldnt think- because if u want flight pots...and you do, either buy them or craft and gather for it... I personally like things the way they are...aside from server crashes and lag, its a great way to enjoy Aion. I have no problems getting a faster heart-rate through pvp. Kinda like when a girl meets a guy, she likes him for his spunk and wild side, its what makes him attractive to her. Then when she gets comfy with him, tries to change him. Analogically speaking ofcourse...but u can see its very relative. Besides, if u need to get the ground pvp bug manhandled....my name is lusty, im an asmodian...meet me in the colloseum if ur an asmo, or u can meet me unwillingly in temenon or heiron...jump twice to signal a ground pvp and i will gladly show u a sharp sense of ground pvp....just dont pop ur wings when u are too close to seeing a friendly soul healer!!! ahahahaha! but seriously...luv luv! blood for blood!

 

Some classes are just better at ground PvP then they are at flight PvP. Also it sucks when people are going to lose in a fight and they clip wings, or when they drop in your city and do WoD killing 10 people.

There will always be people who whine about stuff, but as you can clearly see from this vote, this is not just a few people, it's more like 85%. And even if there will be more ground PvP instances the abyss will still be free fly as it's meant to be.

 

now now, i know some of you think ground battle is useless, but listen.

ground pvp: adds strategy to raids. in 1 on 1, it's just lets you use all skills (while restrict other skill that only usable during flight), but during massive pvp, you'll see the strategy coming. like formations, groups coming from multiple direction, flanking, herding you like dogs herding lambs. it's AWESOME cuz a battle won by strategy is multiple times better than all out zergs vs zergs.

and to those that says fly pvp is a fail, read below.

aerial pvp: adds unconventional methods of strategy that forces you to include 3D factors in your strategy than just 2D plannings. plus with high end computer, aerial pvp is just beautiful <3 *cough*
yes right now it's all zerg rush and all that, while losing some skills, we get some aerial buffs and skills too. people just need to adapt.

reason why many dislike aerial pvp/suck at it: we're groomed to prefer ground pvp because most of earlier MMOs are ground pvp based. you're too used to ground pvp that you think aerial pvp is chaotic and fail. people used to think airplanes was a sick joke, till someone flew. now we have formations and whatever for airforce. learn to adapt, find a pattern in the chaos and you'll turn the tide.

as for me, no free fly in heiron/belu for ground pvp. why? because once in a while i want to stand in the middle of a road with friends, only to intercept incoming asmodian invaders. while rest of the time i spend my time in abyss because it's strategically beneficial for aerial combat.

I still think they should save it for the new maps. Too many people NEED to fly in belus and heiron to gather mats, farm, level, etc... It would ruin the game for most if this was implemented. I think they should add more places like the dregion for ground combat . Also, why wouldn't you be allowed to fly in beluslan or heiron?

You have very good points about ground and aerial combat though. I also agree that creating a roadblock to stop invaders would be fun... I just don't see it happening in areas where using wings is essential to day to day activities.
