Not very many people are actually taking this very seriously -.-.

In my opinion, ANY genocide marks an extremely dark moment in history, far darker than any natural disaster. Rwanda, the Holocaust, ethnic cleansing, the events in South America and Africa... they all represent extremely dark moments for mankind.

But if we were to say for ALL of humanity, it would have to be World War 1. I say that because WW2 was nothing compared to trench warfare, although WW2 was dark also cause of the holocaust.

There is also 9/11, apartheid, European religious wars, the events in Yugoslavia, Cuban Missile Crisis (closest to nuclear war in history), etc.

It's impossible to say that "one" moment is the darkest, since humanity is inherently evil and there are many MANY moments that could be arguably the darkest.

Having said that, I do not think the Japanese tsunami, the Vietnam war, or the Korean war are that dark. But to each his own I guess.

Thats a matter of opinion...I LMAO hard.....heheheeh...yeah Im Brazillian by the way...and we would have won even if Baggio didnt miss, We had another kick while the italians didnt, so we would have problably won either way, but instead of a brazlian hero (the last kicker) we had a poor italian villain (Baggio) who missed.

    OT:

whenever a child is abused, someone let himself be corrupted, every single time a parent let a child die because of its own stupidity, every single time someone sweres vengeance to others and when hate wins over reason...so you see...it happens every single day....

*ahem ahem* Some people in here need to be serious o_O

And hm, all of the things you stated, but since everyone talks about their countries, let me talk about mine too :3
The fact that Greece had been powerful but was destroyed, and when we even tried a reconstitution, we got destroyed again. Our economy is not at its best, people manipulate the crowd into making decisions that are not right not only for them but for Greece too, and also, we didn't reach that point on our own. There were some other little monsters that helped us do it (see, Germany xD).
If there are some people from Germany too here, don't start hating me lol, it's just the way it is.

And then again people has no idea what a true apocalypsis is... 10.000 years ago the volcano Java turned into a super volcano and terminated 90% of life population over the face o the earth (plants inlcuded)... at that time there were more than 4 types of human species walking the earth... only a tiny bit survived. The earth was cast into an ice age due the billion and billion of tons of ash cast into the atmosphere...

But dont worry.. maybe we, or our sons, or grandsons will be able to see such a magnificent event... Java is gaining mass again same as Yellowsotne Supervolcano.

Kinda true, World War I and II we (Bulgaria) were on Germany's side (in II forced to do it though), as Greece plus all the Balkan countries were on the opposite :\

Idk lol, Germany has never been supporting of course, from the very beginning.
Not like we'd be fine again if Germany didn't do what it's doing, and I don't mean it was the country that made us reach the position we are in now, but it certainly keeps making it worse o_O

Not only Germany's fault though lol, greek people are not smart with their choices, not smart with who they vote for at all, and our politicians are .. let's say, living in their own worlds.

In my opinion it's very hard to just pick out a few when so much of our history is made up of violence against each other and against nature. Human beings are the most destructive species on our planet.

How about the betrayal of the Knight's Templar by the King of France and the Pope, which happend on Friday the 13th. And while awful wars have actually led to vast improvements in technology that has spread to the civilian sector.
