Why gladiators will remain over powered.

questioning why gladiators have a high damage & aoe's is like asking why templar have that block & several defense buffs/can tank that much~ i believe as a front liner the options are wether u prefer to be a damager or a buffer since a warrior class is supposedly at the very least should/can tank

I had a mini-zerg of elyos glads running at me near the north town in ING. They are such an OP class that I only killed 6 of them with one shot of my aoe. The rest by the way, ran away when they discovered they were almost dead.

 

Main reason i decided to stop playing here as of today and changed to a new Private server.
If the only way to compete versus other people is by donating and rolling a gladiator then ther aint much fun to play.
Sad i waisted 2 weeks doing profesions skilling to max only to find out that you can only be competitive here when you spend $$$$$ for Plate ABG....

good there are other servers where you can buy cosmetic stuff only and pvp is alot more fair

You see it's not gladi's being OP it's player not knowing how to play their class. I dropped sorc when I first joined Gamez (this was before the patch when sorc was uber, uber ****in op and sorc still is op btw) and the reason why I dropped sorc was because It's stupidly op and too easy. Besides I was getting bored with it. I mean sorc was OP to the level where I could kill 3 gladi's (all with extendibles) on my sorc no problem at all. Same as I could kill a gladi with other classes as well.
Point I'm tryin to make is it's not the classes (as all classes have OP natures to them but that's just the nature of the beast (I.E. MMO's in general))
If you want a class that you can truly call OP look at SM. Only reason I say that is 1 skill. Fear. I'm not biased either because i've played sm and think it's a fun class. But get rid of that damn fear rofl.

I have a glad on my own. Not ABG but just masta+egt. And im not impressed. Its true im not a good gladiator,but still i dont think that my dmg is too high.

Also,i never had any problem killing glads with my cleric,really. LOL. Sins are much harder to kill imo. And their stuns silences and all piss the hell out of me.

I can solo any boss with my cleric. They surely cant kill me,now the problem is that some bosses have way too high life and cleric dmg is not enough. But still,i can solo them without dying. So you could say that clerics are OP cause they can solo bosses? I dont think so.


Edit: Author you realize that the best gear is ABG and you can get it for free by voting right? It takes time but its possible.

im a glad with full abg set + access + weapon an asmo glad hit me with 4k+ damage using force cleave....!!!! he did it around 8 - 11 x.... i know its not a crit because every time he hits me with that skill its always 4k+ damge!!!!!!.... WTF... am i a PAPER? OMG... damge hack i think... glad is not over powered... some stupid players use DAMAGE hack!!!

Glads are unbalanced and there is no arguing about it. Roll glads all you want but you will all be QQing and screaming "WTS ABG PLATE SET & SPEAR" in /3 soon enough.

My QQing is rightful because it's true.

 

Kids have been qq'ing over glads since day 1. Its the most popular class played on retail. Its the easiest class to pick up and get the hang of, especially here on gamez with every stigma. It's not an over powered class, I hate to break it to you. Aion is extremely gear based, I'd say around 80(Percent) gear and 20% is knowledge of the game. Obviously I don't need to explain how having full ABG against anyone of any class in non pvp gear is obviously a bad situation. The sad fact is that the under geared person is almost never going to win.

Any game with a cash shop is ALWAYS going to have its cash shop heroes who have everything they need to make them the best. Its just the way the world is when it comes to MMO's. Even with the most vast knowledge of the game you would still be doing minimal damage to these people. You need to find your way into the same tier of gear if you want to compete with them, its the same way with almost every competitive sport. If you lack the money and fancy equipment you're just going to be struggling to keep up.

Too come here and try to bash one class is just sad and shows your complete lack of knowledge of this game. I've been playing this game for over two years now and I can tell you that there is no such thing as an Over powered class. There are MANY things you have to figure into a players advantage over you, Gear, ping, game knowledge, Luck with RNG(Random Number Generator), godstone procs, crits, skill availability, and the list goes on.

This game will and always has been a HUGE RNG game. Its all about luck, with crits, godstones, knockdowns, stuns, dodging skills. You cant blame one class for the failure of its company for making such an incredible RNG reliant game.

Piercing Wave(asmo)/Shattering Wave(elyos) reduces your pdef by 600
This I find why glads are doing insane dmg to non-plate geared class specially mage which can only have 700+ pdef at maximum(I could be wrong I'm wearing full EAT+15 and my total def is 608 getting hit by this skills leaves me 8pdef *ouch*)
and also they have 2 more skills Severe/Weakening Blow(forgot thier exact name) which also reduce pdef around 200-300 I think, I'm not QQing about it since thats what the skill is suppose to do...
I just wanna say if you want to avoid being hit hard by glads use healing pots to remove the reduce status or kill them before they kill you (I'd prefer removing it first *lol*)
