Someone posted this yesterday as a possible fix. Let me know if it works.

"You've got win 7 yeah? Well, Right click on the launcher, Properties, Read-only( only if u want , its not needed too much.) btw. its at General, next switch to Compatibility, and tick Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP (Service Pack 3) This may solve your issue"

It's bad idea to copy programs and run them (unless its Portable Version which Aion isn't) because there are some registry entries. Try to:
    1. Restart the PC
    2. Switch to Windows XP(SP 3) Compatibility. (Ashtar already posted it).
    3. Install Aion through the NCSoft Launcher

    It didn't....

I have already done this to multiple computers which is in Windows XP. So I'm pretty sure it's not that bad idea. Your step 3 is not that easy to do for testing a solution

Might be your pc specs I can see you have alot of things open and Aion might not be able to run with them open.
If thats not the case and u have a good pc then you might want to check your Aion bin that you downloaded that its the right version and not corrupt.
And make sure you have updated your direct X.

I had the same problem and downloaded DirectX, where do I put it and do I need to extract all of these files somewhere? It gave me a ton of compressed files that I don't know what to do with. :/

Edit: Nevermind, found the setup. *facepalm*
