Which one to go with ?

I currently have a SpiritMaster, which was great for PvE and leveling but to be honest, I can't really imagine going PvP with that. So, I was considering some other classes and I'd like to see some recommendations.

The first class I considered was Templar. I mainly did so due to its high defense which would be not only helpful in PvE but also in PvP. The thing that slightly bothers me is that from what I heard templars have quite low/weak attacks.

The second class I thought about was Cleric. I already got one to level 28 or something and I kind of like that it combines magical and physical attacks. I haven't encountered any significant difficulties during leveling but I have no idea what the cleric would be like in PvP.

Next would be Sorcerer. Although it may not be as easy to level as for example SM when it comes to mage classes, I think it would do quite well in PvP.

A final option would be Assassin. I already got one at level 40, it was originally my main but then I switched to SM. However, from what I heard, it kind of sucks in PvP at the moment so I don't know if it's worth going Assassin.

I'd like you to express your opinions on this and suggest a class with as detailed reasoning as possible.

well it all depends on what you want to do in the game

im not experienced with any of these classes but i do know some things about them from what ive seen/heard from both legionmates and other players

templars have high defense but not neccesaraly low/weak attacks all depends on how you socket

clerics i dont know much about so cant say anything about them ^^

sorceres hit very hard with spells that can do 8k+ dmg but they are squishy they also have sleeps and trees

and assasins in my opinion are hardest class to learn just because i failed horribly at them so just like clerics i cant tell you much about them

Cleric= All magical attacks,no physical aside of only 1 chain skill -1. You will only heal with cleric. The attacks are powerful but the casting time is slow and its simply not worthy to get a cleric for pvp because of it. If you want a caster it would be the sorcerer.

Templar= Good defense,very good. But you ll hardly get any abyss points. At least til you become a pro templar..and it takes time..

Sorcerer= Easy kills,overpowered damage,very weak defense.. Aoe skills can kill many people at the same time. Good for fast AP.

Sin= You can hide and kill your enemies,you have the ability to stay hidden forever with 2 hide skills, 1 minute and 5 minutes respectively.

If you want something clearly for kills i would suggest you 1: Ranger. 2: Sorcerer. 3: Gladiator.

 

sorcerer's have super powerful skills
some that can do 5-8k
however they have very weak defense [basically cloth has bad defense]
and since most classes are op except for sins its hard to stay alive on sorcs

 

Difficulty 0-easiest


Cleric - great heals, great damage. good for group and independent -5
templar - takes time to learn, requires fast reaction times and being able to switch between shield and gs, really strong if played right...very weak if wrong-7
sorc- great damage, good defense if you build them well, can handle most fights but one wrong move and they can be destroyed -4
sin- hard class to play, requires a lot of skill and very quick reactions and learning how to adapt to situations, when you do.....well check out my vids -9


Ps, everyone's post above me is nonsense. They see most classes from one perspective.

 

Indeed, bad builds do have low damage, but a PvP build increases the Templar's damage, and I see it close to other classes' damage.


Ablazed, you're the first one who said on forums (Well, actually second, after me) that said Templars need a lot of time to learn. All my respect for you buddy!

 

All classes are op when handled right. But the most op are templar and sorc when mastered @_@

 

All depends on you. Depends on what u like, on how u play and what u want to achieve. U should figure out that by yourself.

 

I'm gonna tell you one thing, it's Gamez, do not think about leveling up and if the class you like is easy to level up with.
I'm not gonna compare all the classes in pvp and stuff cause I'm not good at it, but I'm gonna support sorcerers of course cause I've been playing for like one month, and still, it's so fun, even though I'm not good at it.
As for templar.. Idk, I never tried it lol, it was the class I was always the least interested in.

 

templar ftw super imba get gang wont die xD & learn how to kite to kills, but choose whatever u like don worry about lv's just worry about pvp or pk or dungeon lol

let me tell you something. SM's are quite imba in the server. go MR and MA. :O

That is, if you got ABG access and Masta Set. and if you kow your way around your skills. you'll be a good player.

well sm r easy to counter with an equipment change & that set must be mr so u could resist it especially for templar + 800 mr that skill i forgotten it's name, but still up to him every class with kiting wins

 

I can resist SM with ABG Plate set full MR + AA, when a templar gets ABG Chain set, then SM will look so small when they are at templar's feet...


God, I'm being Temptastic yet again, I will leave the thread before killing the guys who choose sorc/sm over templar xD

 

so far i haven't played with other classes, but for me i'm happy with my sin... i love how people gets shocked when you appear from the back. and is like "ohhhhhh sh11111t!!!!!!" then they go dead... hahaha

but yeah in mass pvp. no cc so you must do what you have to do. backstab a lot stay in zergs its pretty cool actually.

you got 3 evasion skills. about 6 stuns to use from. all you need to have is a good ping(350ms(ok) or less 100ms(best)).

yeah kinna one sided point of view comment from me since this is the only class i ever played with since i started with aion.
