Mysterious errror.

MY friend have a problem. He just updated a game to 1.9. Downloaded the patch, installed it. But when he tries to launch it he gets the black screen and after few secs he hears and error popping up. It says failed to initialize the game. But he managed to launch original launcher, but not gamez. he is using win 7. Any ideas how to fix it?

 

would help to know if its 32 or 64 bit. if u just patched its good to right click/repair in the ncsoft launcher and then reinstal gamez. another thing u can try is right click the gamez launcher and in properties change compatiblity with an older windows or run as administrator (havent tried this but other places suggest it so eh, cant hurt). so far the repair and reinstal of gamez fixed all the problems i had. good luck (and yeah i have win 7 64bit)

i read elsewhere that reinstalling the gamez launcher after every patch solves most things and its not like its something that takes over a minute so yeah, keep the setup and do this whenever u have a problem, usually fixes it. if he said that normal aion runs then reinstalling gamez should fix it, no need to repair

Bangout, all u need to do is go in your game directory, than go to Bin32, and there, search for d3dx9_38.dll, and delete that file. Then start launcher, it`ll work. Hf.
