Inactive accounts with Donations

I don't like the idea of wiping accounts of people who donated to keep the server alive who were in active for several months.

I'd say wipe the characters/items and what so ever but keep the accounts and credits intact.(not the credits through votes, but credits from donations)

that way if they ever decide to come back they still have the option to do so...

I played a lot of p servers before and till now even if i'm in active my credits are still there intact with my account history together with the donations i've made giving me options to play again.

This is one way of thanking(remembering) the people who donated to keep the server alive.

I don't see why would this be abusive, so why not give it a try?

They just assumed that those people wouldn't come back, I guess.


But wiping credits is a dumb idea, I have to admit.

 

well 7 months is a long time
however it would be nice to know that if i ever want to take a break that my accounts credits and history will be safe

 

i see a lot of post from come backers (donated) who can't log in anymore because they're account got wiped.

agree on all of you, if i decide to rest, it would be good to know that i have something to come back to.

 

Well generally, the only upside of that wipe for the active people was the massive name-freeing. One could pretty much choose any short name (3-5 symbols) that he could think of without it being taken. On the other hand it did suck (the wipe). And we see the results now.

 

To bypass this just log in every once in awhile as it's set only to wipe those who haven't logged in 7 months or over. 1 Log in per month should keep you safe from any wiping of your account.

 

Still, the come-backers "didn't know" that there was a wipe, so they weren't aware to login each month. Meaning there will be more and more people that come back and realize their stuff are gone.

 

Oh yea I think it's bullshit too. I was just saying people should be aware of this and this is what they need to do to make sure they don't get ripped off by Carl.

 

In my opinion if it can be confirmed that they donated over 7 months ago via bank transactions or whatever to Carl directly, they should be given those credits/items back. Though I'm not sure if Carl can confirm deleting the account, but that'd probably be necessary too.

 

yeah... i've got 3 friends who donated and all their accounts have been wiped out...

they've been busy for almost half a year 'coz they had issues IRL, but when they decided to come back and play again all their accounts have been wiped out...
