So I just ordered the very secksay Alienware m17x R3 laptop <333333

However... I don't currently have the funds to dish out for a SSD (ESPECIALLY not a $600 SSD with no name... o.o; from dell....).

So my question is (and I've watched many video's... not to mention harddrive swapping is litterally probably the easiest thing next to plugging a mouse into the USB ports...).... will it void my warranty if I do this myself D:?

I don't want to call alienware ._. I have no lust to sit on a phone to get "herped" up my "durpz".

    Yes it will.

Unless you get them to do it for you, even unscrewing your case can damage your warranty.

    So ... o.o

    What should I do?

Acquire the SSD I want + the additional ram replacements (I settled with not paying absorbant amounts of money for the extra ram from dell with no real name... :S) and then send it to them? Will they do it for me?

I guess you can contact them, provide them with the SSD model you want, and let them do the job for you.

THEY WILL STILL CHARGE YOU ANYWAY. IF YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY SURE WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH YOUR LAPPY THEN JUST GO AHEAD AND OPEN UP THE LIL' BADDIE. OTHERWISE YOU HAVE TO PAY THEM OLOLO
