Does anyone play this game, NBA 2k11? I need some help ;o. It is such a fun game, but I'm getting sick of losing to my brother. Him being as annoying as he is, he constantly is playing with the Miami Heat. I, of course, go with my hometown team, the Chicago Bulls.

The issue is twofold. First on offense, I need to drive with Rose each time, finding other open players never seems to work. I get a 3 here and there with Korver, but basically, Rose is getting trapped and not allowed easy access to the paint, and I don't know how to utilize good second options. When I won, Rose ended up having 49 points, 12 rebounds, and only 3 assists, basically carrying the team (I won 59-40).

Secondly, on defense, I plain suck. He just passes the ball to Wade or James, bulldogs his way into the paint, and makes easy layups that are barely contested. I get a few steals here and there and a block once in a while, but he's consistently scoring.

Basically, any tips and hints would be helpful. The game is fun, but it'd be so much more fun if I was kicking his ass D:

I'm sure there most be a FEW people who play the game...I find it a lot more fun than both Fifa and Madden.

Well I play on my bro's ps3. I don't know how annoying it'd be to play on PC.

 

It's simple, do what the Mavs did IRL. Run a 2-3 or 1-3-1 zone. Or you can have CPU guard the ball and switch to Noah and guard the paint. On ball defense needs some time getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, stopping dribble penetration is not a problem. Although...Wade and LBJ's jumpshot stats are so ridiculously boasted, its kind of ridiculous.

I used to play the game religiously, but it got pretty boring due to the online play being terrible. You know what'll help? Make a my player and go through a season with him.

Thanks, I started using the 1-3-1 zone and if I hadn't made a few dumb turnovers, I would have won. I also stopped trying to do everything with Rose and gave the ball to Deng and Boozer. I'm getting the hang of it, slowly .

 

Oh sorry then , i don't have a PS3
Had one.. gave it to my cousin it was pretty boring. not compared to a computer in any way
Except for the Racing/Sport Games
I love using a real steering wheel for Need for speed games <3

Run pick and rolls with Boozer/Rose. You'll get either an open lane to the bucket with Rose or an easy feed to Boozer for a layup. Also Noah's tendecies lead to a lot of back cuts for open dunks. Use Deng for kickouts to open jumpers.

I love using the Bulls and Thunder because of Rose and Westbrooks ability to finish at the rim. Use the eurostep lay-up, its nearly impossible to block.

I used to play my friends for drinks before we went out and we used to random teams. It led to interesting match ups, like Cavs vs Heat.

 

Oh and I prefer the 2-3 over the 1-3-1 because the 2-3 tends to cover the corner 3s better. Corner 3s have the highest percentage of going in uncontested.

what...it's a fun game to play. Are you mad that I don't play with the Bobcats? I play with the Bulls cause I know them the best and because it's fun to play with them...

I don't play online, it's my bros game. I just play with him once in a while. If he does let me play it, I'll let you know though ;D.

 

Me personally, I use alot of double teams(not manual ones). Try going into the options and set your team to double team certain ppl when they have the ball and to double team some ppl when they are off ball. It will make the game go moreso your way.

 

try to play solo and make your own player xD

 

You can even call for a double, regardless if you're defending the guy with the ball or not.
I think it was holding L2 on the defensive end of the floor.

Doubles usually end up biting me in the ass though.

 

Bleh, I was on track to beating him. At the end of the half, I was blowing him out with a 18 point lead. I was killing him on defense and I was just eurostepping it up with DRose and shooting outside open 3s with Deng and Korver. Then on play, Rose did some crazy stunt, got injured, and everything went to hell. I started making stupid mistakes, passing the ball right to him, and at one point, I had subbed Noah in for Watson by mistake, and I couldnt fix it quickly enough D:

this game is loads of fun though, I need to try other teams though

 

So I played against the computer who was Miami Heat. I won with a 26 point lead. Rose had 30 points, 12 assists, 11 rebounds, and 5 steals. That's one hell of a triple double LOL . It really goes to show how annoying my brother is. Give the ball to James -> spin into the pain -> make some crazy shot and watch it go in. I'm getting better on defense though.

The annoying part is on offense. He crowds the paint, making it hard for me to drive. I still can't do pick and rolls easily, so I'm forced to take a lot more jumpers, and as you all know, that never works out for the Bulls

 

Push the right arrow on the D-Pad and it should bring up a playbook. Defaults set on quick plays, push X for a quick pick and roll. Bulls playbook has Boozer setting all the picks for a quick pick and roll. Easy money!
