Make AP more valuable/Max Kinah Trade

Is there any thoughts on raising the limit on trading kinah from 1b to 10b, or 50b, or 100b? This would cut down on donations though, so I understand why they havent implemented this before.. it seems to me a lot of people dont buy.. for example.. the lvl 55 accesories with kinah, because of the trade limit, scammers are abundant because of the trade limit, so people aren't too quick to make the effort to buy with kinah. But if people could buy these items without worry of scammers I think more people would grind for kinah so that they can buy these items that are only obtained in the credit item shop with in-game currency. This would atleast give me something to work towards. I know a lot of people think, well this is a PvP High Rate server, we shouldn't have to grind for anything, I want it all now and handed to me with no work.

Also, are there any thoughts on making AP worth something? I've been playing for over two months and it seems to me that AP is basically worthless. The gold/silver medals aren't that abundant because of the broken seiges/castles and the rewards for AP are not too satisfying.. other then the abyss potions. If AP had more value, it would give me, and i'm sure some others, a reason to go out of primum/terminon and actually fight the enemy. Not that I sit and duel all day.. unlike hundreds of others. Maybe if you could trade AP for the lvl 100/145/190 enchantment stones, or flight scrolls, different types of elite foods, etc..

The post got a lot longer then I expected, but i'm at work and i'm bored.. so, there are a few thoughts and suggestions.. please do not take my thoughts and suggestions as complaints, cause they aren't - I appreciate the work and efforts of every staff member.. and I highly enjoy this server, keep up the good work, thank you for your time.

 

First off I suggest you not be surfing the web on a game forum @ work hehe, I know ppl whove been fire for that.

Second I agree with you! that 1b limit is a pain my ass. I hate having to use the Broker for stupid crap like this.

 

You can't, you have to modify the client. If they modify the client NCsoft will sue Carl for a few million.

So your saying adding in Elite guards at towns and at popular areas, changing the functions of certain skills, and other changes that have been implemented.. hasn't changed the client?

 

I agree. I mean I just use AP for flight pots and sell those, and I don't want to get scammed so I try not to trade any kinah amount past 1b. It's hard

 

I was a GM on a private server for Lineage 1 and we altered the client to extremes, we changed stuff almost every day. The only thing i remember we couldn't do was charge a fee to play on the server, but this was like 5 years ago.

 

The first part is why there exist silver and gold medal, never thought about that did u >.<

OH and the second part about the ap being worthless is fake, 200k ap which is not really easy (like u can get it in one day thats bull) because u can buy abyss gear with it and that it costs a lot .

BESIDES this is a fucking private server go to crystal aion and leave my rates which is why I FKN JOIN HERE unchanged.

 

I think gold/silver medals should be added to the item shop. 5 gold's for 500 credits and 10 silvers for 500 credits. Other than that I see no point in even attempting to get abyss gear that requires medals due to the lack of events and the number of medals given out per event.

edit: Not to mention the lack of people that get a chance to even participate in said events.

and about gold medals in CS i think it's not good idea. just drop somewhere or do event with gold medal not silver.

First, learn how to speak English. In the first part i talked about the max kinah amount being changed from 1b to 100b, so i have no idea what your talking about.

I clearly thought about silver/gold medals in my post because i talked about them in the middle of my post. As i said before, if you would pay attention, is that the seiges/castle are broken... i have a job and go to work so the chance of me catching a random event where gold/silver medals are the reward is slim to none.

Finally, your remark about getting 200k AP not being easy just makes me laugh, i can go into the core and fight for awhile and look into my profile and... ooops.. 200k AP. I know for a fact a lot of skilled players that play gamez aion can earn 200k+ easily in one day. I could earn that much solo. Learn how to fight and you may get somewhere with your AP someday.

What abyss gear can you get with medals that would be better then the lvl 55 sets that are only in the credit item shop? When did i say anything about changing the rates?

Yea, AP is pretty much nothing in this server...

I know Carl(developer of this server) wants $ for selling the abyss gears and other rare items, but who wants play for free r wearing anu gears forever...

and the $ gears r not cheap. Full set cost like $200...

 

make the High Gear cheap0r => More Player on the Server => more normal donations. => MAX PROFIT

 

I never donated and I have full level 55 pvp gear, what are you all smoking. Stop crying that you "CAN'T" get it, I got it.


I'm not going to say it was easier then donating, but I took it as a challenge to myself to get geared out as much as possible. I like challenges.

Edit: I'm actaully full 50/55 split since some 50 gear's (such as earings for mages) offer better stat's. So if I said fully 55 I'd be a liar.

 

You don't have to pay money for the gears, there are options. If you are skilled enough at the game you can get up enough valuable items that you can trade for the elite lvl 55 abyss items.. cause like i said earlier, buying them with pure kinah is possible, but you have to be able to trust the person your trading beyond any doubt, or you most likely will get scammed.

I played for awhile and was able to get up a lot of lvl 145 enchantment stones, a few billion kinah, and a +15 tahabata weapon for a 55 abyss weapon. At this point i had 1000 credits from voting and was able to get the elite 55 abyss amulet, the Archon Brigade General.

It would be very nice if we could at least have the option to trade 4 billion kinah for an item. I know a lot of people still wouldn't buy them, because i see people on here saying they have 250m after playing for over a month. I was a up to a billion in less then a week ( i also played retail ) playing roughly 3 hours a day grinding DP and other places.

If AP had more value though, non-donators (people that don't have the money to donate) could go out and fight the enemy and trade AP in for valuable items at an custom NPC and trade those items for the items you can only get in the credit item shop. This would give people a better chance at getting the elite items.

What items you could trade AP for, i'm not exactly sure, i did suggest elite foods, lvl 100-190 enchantment stones, and maybe some elite wings, like the noble operative. There are a lot of items that could be implemented into a special NPC inside primum/terminon to make AP more valuable.

Since the medals are not in the credit item shop, nor can you earn them through fighting for a castle, i believe it would be cool if there was one boss out there (Menotios?) - or several, to drop gold/silver medals at a low rate. This would give legions another thing to do other then rifting and going to the core. This would also give people the chance to buy the elite pvp gear in-game, with AP and medals, instead of having to rely on credits/events to get anywhere.

One of the great things about mmorpgs is going with a party, or a legion, to kill a boss for elite gears - as we have seen, tahabata items aren't worth very much unless they are +10-+15.

Putting gold/silver medals into a boss's table loot could give people a lot more incentive to gather together and kill a really hard boss. I don't even think people kill Menotios at all, which is pretty sad if you ask me.

Before i get people saying, "Hey there are bosses out there that drop good gear" - yeah, i know that, but i'm talking about being able to obtain the best of the best, which is only done through credits. I think earring of ascending when from 80m to 14m in less then a few weeks. Making AP more valuable not only will introduce another way for people to enjoy the server, which in return will bring more people, more donations, but it will also allow for more rewarding PvP. Which i think is something we all would enjoy.

 

Actaully, to remove all chances of being scammed one can just PM a gm who is online in game/ pm here and ask them to assist you. They have been wonderful for me.:sideways:

 

That is really cool Aegis, i have heard about the GMs doing that recently - i have had great experiences with Carl, and the rest of the staff of gamez aion as well.. i think the server is doing great.

still tho,if donations where cheaper,then GM's would definitely see a colossal increase in donations.

i know a lineage server that has +20 gear for $20, but if u buy a full +20 armor (helmet,armor,pants,gloves,boots) it only cost $50. and trust me,they get ALOT of donations

sometimes the owner even has a special which is 2 for 1 = buy something,and get something in the same value for free.

everytime he does that,he gets way more donations than he even wanted,and what does he do with that donation? upgrade the server to its capacity.

its simple. lower prices = more customer
