    tbh for as long as the black cloud trader gift feature is around, there are no downsides to reducing VIP costs and duration. being able to trade was a privilege that people paid for coz they wanted to trade but now, multivoters and their kind bypass the whole thing through gifting. well besides the fact that dupers get VIP faster :p but they have always been around regardless, so normal people could benefit from this a lot
