51g aion folder size

is this the real size of the aion folder?
i downloaded it from the ncsoft launcher (the new 1)

 

yes it is.. mine is 50GB

 

If it is a clean client then the only thing you have to delete is the $Patch$ folder, it is the torrent the client was extracted from so it has no other purpose right now. NCsoft keeps it just because they use it to make you seed the client for other people. Once you delete that, the client will be around 26gb in size

Edit: If it doesn't let you delete it, run task manager and kill the ncsoftupdatehelper.exe process in the processes tab

 

the last time i did it i get so many errors. it is the one on ncsoft or ncwest folder? gonna try it later

 

Inside your aion folder, but you can delete it from the ncwest folder too xd If you wanna be safe, instead of deleting, copy it outside so you have it as a backup. If you don't get errors, you can delete it.

Turning off peer-to-peer in the ncsoft launcher helps greatly to prevent any errors related to this.

I delete it to save space and haven't had issues so far. If you use the folder for gamez, my suggestion is renaming it to something other than Aion so you break the ncsoft launcher link. It is not needed for gamez and causes unnecessary problems with your client not matching retail one and the ncsoft launcher trying to fix it up every time.

 

the one on the aion folder is way larger than the one at the ncwest.. its like gb vs mb lol so should i delete it both?

 

The one in NCwest is a patch folder for the launcher itself, not for the game xd

 

yeah just delete the patch folder then the size will reduce to 26gb

 

its odd.. why do you guys have 50+GB.. i only have 26GB without doing anything. just updated the game and launcher.
