A little limitation to Signatures?

I think signatures should be a bit limited and surely the forum admin panel provides options to easely apply such limitations.

Like making the max image width on sigs 564px which is the actual space. Wider sigs push the avatar column to the left.

Also height could be limited to something like 300 or even 400px which is still a lot, because there are sigs that occupy almost the whole height of the screen.. I'm sure it would make the forum a bit tidier.

 

I think only a height rule should really be enforced. As it is, the forum automatically resizes images so they don't make the page wider. Even if it squishes the left side, it doesn't break anything.

 

It wouldn't really matter that much. As long as the post is visible, I have no complaints.

 

there is a rule of 500x200, its just not inforced that much
